Q: Is this dishwasher safe?
submitted by Montedino - 1 year ago
A: The frying basket should be seasoned in oil before going into the dishwasher. The lid and the oil basket are dishwasher safe. I suggest reading the case instructions in the manual on page 7.

Very simple and easy design. Have used several times already and no complaints. I saw some reviews that mentioned food sticking to the basket. I found that if you let the basket sit in the oil as it heats that sticking is not an issue. Easy to hand clean as well. I am very satisfied with this product.

Love this deep fryer, has timer & temperature control. DEEP bucket to hold oil & fry basket completes the package which can sit on top of fryer to drain oil from food. Absolutely recommend getting this fryer, looks just as pictured.
So far, so good

So far, so good. I’ve had this fryer for a month now, used it five times and very pleased with the results. Relatively easy to use and clean (most parts dishwasher safe). I don’t know of any fryer that is totally mess free dealing with the oil involved, but this comes close. I’m not sure how accurate the temperature control is, something I continue to monitor. But it makes great fish & chips, potato chips, sweet potato fries, etc. The fryer cannot hold large amounts of food, but I would not expect it to. I would not want to use a fryer that involved larger amounts of oil (easily holds one gallon of oil) for personal safety reasons.

I love this fryer! I wasn’t sure if it was too big for two people, but it’s really just the right size for French fries made from two medium size Idaho potatoes. Anything smaller would require two batches. It does a perfect job on the fries, crispy and not greasy at all. Most of it goes right in the dishwasher, but you will have to soap up and rinse off the heating element, which does take some patience, but I think it’s well worth it.
Disappointed with actual capacity

Normally find Cuisinart products to be good value, even if not top of the line. I have coffee makers, coffee grinder, toaster oven and more. I bought for expected high capacity, but it falls short for two reasons. The heater element is so high from the floor that the basket cannot take on very much oil. Only about an inch deep. The other reason is that one big basket actually has less utility than two side-by side baskets. Otherwise it heats faily quickly and seems to come back to temperature faily quickly after dropping frozen food.

ving gone a number of years without a deep fat fryer and using a Dutch oven on the stove top I decide I had had enough of the mess. I have used the 4 quart deep fryer several time and have been more than please with the food. Also the clean up is so easy. If you like fried foods you cannot go wrong with this product.

Not a bad fryer other than there's no "oil trap" at the bottom to drain the used oil into and reuse for future frying. Most of the competitors fryers have this and they're way easier to clean/get the oil out of as a result. Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to do.
Perfect

This deep fryer is great. It's a good size, and holds its temperature. Clean up is also really easy. I had been using a pan to fry stuff, and this is so much easier and cleaner. I highly recommend it for all of your deep frying needs.

Like the Cuisinart air fryer/toaster/oven, it is wise to watch your ‘cook’ for the first few attempts. The recipes in both manuals cite temperature and cook time recommendations that need to be adjusted as it is easy to burn/overcook your meal. I love this deep fryer because it has a lid, eliminating messy splattering. Oh, and the first model delivered had minor damage and after a phone call, it was quickly replaced!

I decided to replace our Fry Daddy with this Cuisinart fryer because I wanted to be able to control the oil temperature. It works great and I would give a 5 rating except for two things. It takes longer to come to temperature than I had expected; so I would suggest starting your fryer a bit earlier than you might have thought. Also, it takes a full gallon of oil to fill, so that can get a bit pricey.

Amazing deep fryer. Even steady temperature. We’ve made mushrooms and egg rolls in it, and they come out perfect.
