Q: Is this dishwasher safe?
submitted by Montedino - 2 years ago
A: The frying basket should be seasoned in oil before going into the dishwasher. The lid and the oil basket are dishwasher safe. I suggest reading the case instructions in the manual on page 7.

An okay fryer. It is like most deep fryers as it has trouble maintaining temperature. I also notice when set at 375, the oil only get to about 350 in certain areas.

I love Cuisinart appliances but was not a huge fan of the deep fryer. It took a while for the oil to heat up and to get back to temperature between batches. The glass fogs up during frying making it impossible to see through and pointless to have. The groove in the pan to empty the oil out isn't deep enough and oil tends to pour everywhere when emptying. Lastly, keeping the outside of it clean is a pain in the backside. Its fingerprint and smudge city.
Not as good as older model

I bought this as a replacement for an older Cuisinart model. The older one has a digital temperature reading and an audible sound when it reached temperature. This one has a dial for the temperature an no audible sound when it is reached only a difficult to see light to indicate it is ready. I do not think the newer model gets as hot as the older one at the same temperature and it maxes out at 375 which is where I normally use it, thus it takes longer to cook the food. The only way to turn the newer model off is to unplug it, where the older model had an on/off button. Also the basket doesn't fit down in the oil like the older model which gives me less area to use for cooking. I would not recommend this fryer and plan to replace it much sooner than the older model which I used at least weekly for over 7 years.

I needed a larger fryer and this is definitely what I needed! Each part is removable for cleaning and all but control panel is dishwasher safe. Gone are the days of a greasy, messy appliance that you want to hide! In the age of ‘air frying’ I love that I can fry with healthy oils and great results!

Heating oil to required temp. Is about the same as any other fryer, but this one maintains cooking temp ,way better than any fryer we have ever owned. Plug is a little iffy position fryer where you don’t have to move it during use plug can fall out easier then most. This is the best fryer we have ever owned.

It works great and it is easy to clean. You should pay attention to the sharp edges when you're cleaning and handeling the fryer base.

This is a good fryer. For me the depth is fine. It heats up good. The power and ready lights are easy to see. I know some have posted about the power cord detaching easy due to the magnets attachment, I find if I put the fryer in one spot and don't move it around it does perfectly fine. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it. I will tell everyone, completely read the directions. It states fully, in the directions to heat to hottest temp if the desired temp is not known.
Glad I purchased this model

Very simple and easy design. Have used several times already and no complaints. I saw some reviews that mentioned food sticking to the basket. I found that if you let the basket sit in the oil as it heats that sticking is not an issue. Easy to hand clean as well. I am very satisfied with this product.

Love this deep fryer, has timer & temperature control. DEEP bucket to hold oil & fry basket completes the package which can sit on top of fryer to drain oil from food. Absolutely recommend getting this fryer, looks just as pictured.

So far, so good. I’ve had this fryer for a month now, used it five times and very pleased with the results. Relatively easy to use and clean (most parts dishwasher safe). I don’t know of any fryer that is totally mess free dealing with the oil involved, but this comes close. I’m not sure how accurate the temperature control is, something I continue to monitor. But it makes great fish & chips, potato chips, sweet potato fries, etc. The fryer cannot hold large amounts of food, but I would not expect it to. I would not want to use a fryer that involved larger amounts of oil (easily holds one gallon of oil) for personal safety reasons.

I love this fryer! I wasn’t sure if it was too big for two people, but it’s really just the right size for French fries made from two medium size Idaho potatoes. Anything smaller would require two batches. It does a perfect job on the fries, crispy and not greasy at all. Most of it goes right in the dishwasher, but you will have to soap up and rinse off the heating element, which does take some patience, but I think it’s well worth it.
Disappointed with actual capacity

Normally find Cuisinart products to be good value, even if not top of the line. I have coffee makers, coffee grinder, toaster oven and more. I bought for expected high capacity, but it falls short for two reasons. The heater element is so high from the floor that the basket cannot take on very much oil. Only about an inch deep. The other reason is that one big basket actually has less utility than two side-by side baskets. Otherwise it heats faily quickly and seems to come back to temperature faily quickly after dropping frozen food.
