Q: What amperage circuit is recommended for this? 3400W at 110v works out to nearly 30A, much bigger than a standard counter circuit. Is this actually 220v?

Great fryer, but check amperage before buying!
Maybe not the best for home use. Can’t use both sides simultaneously without it popping the breaker repeatedly. Works great otherwise. Really nice, easy to clean. Large capacity baskets.

Great for small bar/lounge
I purchased this fryer in December. It is used in a small bar to cook fries and fish and chips. The tanks that heat separately save on energy. I also like the fact that they have lids, stated for night covers but I place the covers on while not in use. The basket handles need some improvements as they are folded inward during shipping but wobble in real use. I have also found that the oil needs to be slightly above the max fill line to maintain the correct temp and cooking time.This fryer is not intended to use in an environment where large groups at a time will be eating. 3 small orders of fish and chips is all you can fry at one time.

Likes, great size for a fish fry for the family. Easy to clean, easy to set up.Dislikes, directions say to plug into different circuts for me this meant running an extension cord to another room or re wiring the kitchen.

Doesn't get above 375, but works for most applications
We like this fryer a lot and have enjoyed using it. I just purchased a thermometer because we're testing some recipes and were wondering why we weren't getting the right result. It's because the fryer doesn't get hot enough. Having said that, you can't beat it for the price and a great introductory fryer. Fun and have made countless meals. 30 in the last couple months probably. Anything from fried spring rolls to chicken.I give 5 stars because I think I've gotten the value out of this device. I would love a unit that reaches the claimed 220c, as this one does not.
