I have 2b/2c wavy hair. I put a small pump on after my leave in conditioner, rake it through, then add a tiny bit more water to encourage curl clumps, then scrunch and air dry. It gives good definition and hold. If I add too much, I can still feel the product once my hair is dry, but it's great if I don't add too much.

Not only does it help with volume and hold, it gives amazing definition as well, I’ve had a few really stubborn sections of my hair that refused to curl properly, and this mousse has been a dream in getting them to look amazing. Just as a heads up, if your hair isn’t soaking wet when you use it, it can leave a slightly sticky residue on your hair which can mostly be scrunched out, but just feels a little strange
Sounds very different to every other mousse I’ve used when shaken

Can you tell me if this product I have got is ok? When I shake it. It reacts like it’s soiled and sounds like it’s soiled? Is this how the mousse should be? It’s a bit sticky but does give volume.

This mousse is so good. Gives a lot of volume. I tend to use it mostly towards my roots for volume and it perfect for that. As long as you remember to shake it and don't overapply it works perfectly. The only caveat is you do have to be careful because if you apply directly without working it in, it might show up as white but even dry you can press it away, almost the same way you would break your curl cast. I think its very underrated.

This stuff is amazing. My hair is a little frizzy in some spots bc I used very little based on the reviews. I'll use a little more next time. For the most part my curls are beautiful, plump & defined. Definitely gives more hold than a regular mousse.

I didn't like this at all. I have naturally curly hair and always use a mousse for a crunching. My first use, I put too much on and it was very sticky, so I washed it out and used a very small amount. It was still sticky, my hair was sticking to my hands. I wouldn't buy again. I also bought the curl reviver, this I did like and use between washes.

I have been using this gel and two other Curlsmith Volume products for over a year now and my hair has never looked better. I have 2c-3b curls and my hair is thick. I think this is the longest amount of time that I have used the same products. I constantly try new products, but I have found my holy grail of hair products.

Follow the directions and put on damp hair.it was extremely sticky and clumped in my hair. It turned my roots into sticky bubblegum that I've had to use a pick to pull apart. My cleanly washed hair, feels disgusting. Barely more vol than usual.

This volume mousse is the best. I've bought two bottles and been using for year now. By far the best mousse I've tried for my fine wavy hair! My wavys last for days which is pretty awesome and it comes out soft not brittle or causing split ends like other mousse! And of course the smell of this line is the best one!

I've tried a lot of mousses over the years and this is the first mousse I've tried that has gel like properties. There was a learning curve to how much product I should use and how wet/dry my hair should be when applying but results have been amazing once I figured out what worked best for my fine but dense 2c-3b curls. The only thing I don't like is how it doesn't really foam up once the bottle gets low.
