Great volume but glue-y and crunchy
I love the volume and the ability this gives me to shape my hair, but it feels like glue and leaves a sticky glue-y crunchy residue that I've never encountered with any curly mousse and it can't be softened with oil. It even leaves a glue-y mess on the dispenser. I've tried several times because I love the volume but it matts my curls, which normally don't tangle, and I can't wait to wash it off.

Perfect for my 2b hair
I apply a very small amount of product into very wet hair and diffuse, my curls stay in for two to three days. Soft, not frizzy, not crunchy. I think there is a lot of misuse of this product and hence the reviews. Personally this is the best mousse I've used on my wavy hair. It's definitely a thick-moisture rich product and needs used accordingly.

Honest Review about the Mousse
I'm absolutely disappointed in this product I love the air dry leave in conditioner so i expexted to have high hopes for this product but oh my gosh your hair would feel sticky like glue and very stiff its horrible i hate it 0/10

Terrible product. Described as a mousse but more like a VERY sticky foam gel. Awful product, will be returning. You cannot comb your hair ince it's in and dries crunchy.

Almost Awesome
I really wanted to love this product! It does exactly as it says and gives your hair awesome volume. Unfortunately, it never fully dries and leaves your hair sticky. I will continue to use it sparingly on super dry spots, but sadly, I will not purchase again.

Nothing like Gel Foam
I had biught this profict hoping that it would be like the gel foam, but i was wrong. It's very sticky, and doesn't have the same hold. And worst, you cannot add a little water and restyle after day 1 - big let down.

Seriously hate this product:(
Some Curlsmith products work for me, but this was a total fail. Even using sparingly it feels like glue in my hair. I have used it 3 times and felt the need to shampoo again immediately afterwards. I seldom return products because it seems so wasteful but may return this.

Wanted it to be awesome, buuuuuuut…
I could hardly distribute the mousse through my hair. It did add volume, but my hair looked stringy, was stiff & sticky to the touch, and became more rangled while this product was in. Used once & wint use again. I like the results of their shampoo & conditioner for volume, but note that every product has a VERY STRONG AROMA, may not be for everyone.

Great mousse
This is a great mousse for wash n go's and braid outs/twist outs, it leaves my curls popping and it smells really nice! Love the airy consistency! I wish it came with heat protection it would have been a great one and go product!

Volume Mousse
This mousse is so good. Gives a lot of volume. I tend to use it mostly towards my roots for volume and it perfect for that. As long as you remember to shake it and don't overapply it works perfectly. The only caveat is you do have to be careful because if you apply directly without working it in, it might show up as white but even dry you can press it away, almost the same way you would break your curl cast. I think its very underrated.

This stuff is amazing. My hair is a little frizzy in some spots bc I used very little based on the reviews. I'll use a little more next time. For the most part my curls are beautiful, plump & defined. Definitely gives more hold than a regular mousse.

I have been buying this product for the past year
I have been using this gel and two other Curlsmith Volume products for over a year now and my hair has never looked better. I have 2c-3b curls and my hair is thick. I think this is the longest amount of time that I have used the same products. I constantly try new products, but I have found my holy grail of hair products.

Bubble gum for curly hair
Follow the directions and put on damp hair.it was extremely sticky and clumped in my hair. It turned my roots into sticky bubblegum that I've had to use a pick to pull apart. My cleanly washed hair, feels disgusting. Barely more vol than usual.

I like it
I have 2c/3a hair and I love this mousse! It adds a lot of volume and helps my curls last a couple of days. People mentioned that it's too sticky but I don't think it's more sticky than other mousse/gel combo products.
