Q: Is it safe to use on nonstick?
A: I've used Dawn Platinum on several Teflon coated pans without any issue. I'm quite surprised Dawn hasn't tested it on anything Teflon though!
submitted byMarkyMark - 7 months agoA: Is there any type of dishes this can’t be used on?
submitted byJayden - 1 year agoA: Our Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray hasn't been tested for use on Teflon. We recommend testing the product on a small area before use.

Q: Can you use this as a pre-wash spray for heavy, stuck-on-food specific dishes, that will be sitting overnight in the dishwasher. Alternatively, would it be OK to run the dishwasher’s pre-wash cycle with some dishes that have been treated with the spray?
A: If you mean can this be used in the dish washer the answer is NO. If you spray this on the dishes and let sit overnight spray off before you put them in the dishwasher or the washer will over suds.
submitted byTlynfav - 6 months agoA: Yes, you can use this as a pre-treat spray. With it, you should be able to scrub off food and grime with ease.

Q: Is this product good for sensitive skin?
A: I have sensitive skin and have used this product without any issues.
submitted byMarkyMark - 7 months agoA: Our Powerwash is safe to use when used as directed. You do not need your skin to come into contact with the dish soap. You can use a paper towel, rag, or sponge.

Q: Is this safe to use on acrylic bath or shower enclosures?
A: I haven’t had a problem using it on acrylic shower enclosures or the glass. Social media has us mixing dawn with white vinegar and water so I tried it alone.
submitted byItsMe - 6 months agoA: We haven't tested Dawn to clean showers, so you may want to test a small area of your shower first before use.

Q: Regarding recyclability, the 2025 P&G Blog says “Dawn Powerwash customers can purchase refills, minimizing waste while ensuring the trigger is now fully recyclable.” which is less than clear. Does “while ensuring“ mean the whole bottle is now recyclable?
A: The bottle is recyclable where facilities exist (plastic #1); the sprayer is not recyclable.

Q: Can this product be used to clean mold/mildew stains from the rubber seal of my front loader washing machine?
A: Spruce is a non-selective contact herbicide. A non-selective herbicide is a product formulated to kill all types of vegetation, including weeds and grasses. Therefore we have not done the research on if Spruce will kill mold.

Q: Can I spray my dishes with this and then run my dishwasher? Or will it make my dishwasher foam up?
A: Hi, Aleah. Like traditional dish soaps, Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray is not designed for use in the dishwasher. The high level of suds could cause your dishwasher to oversuds and create a mess.

Q: Is this fragrance free?
A: No, this is not unscented. It has a fresh scent.

Q: Does this contain dye?

Q: can this be used on kitchen cabonet doors?

If you have any concerns, test the Spray in an inconspicuous area first before cleaning to ensure no damage. Feel free to use your product on Corian, granite, quartz, porcelain, and stainless steel.
