We also have many quality checks in place to ensure that you can use Dawn with ease, and we wouldn't expect the product to impart a scent/taste onto your dishes. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it's possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're likely worn to the point of being porous and should be rinsed off immediately and not soaked.
