Somehow this tastes worse than actual DayQuil. Like it tastes like some sort of paint thinner or polyurethane. It does the job okay but not sure if the taste is worth it when other stores’ generic DayQuil doesn’t taste quite as awful.

Terrible, made me really sick in the stomach
Got this for cold symptoms as I have used DayQuil dupes previously with no issue. This one is a no, after 10 minutes my stomach was an absolute wreck. Thought maybe it was a coincidence and tried a different time, same thing. So, don't try, you'll still feel all your cold symptoms with the added bonus of gastrointestinal issues.

Have purchased this in the past. I get cold medicine can’t taste good but the new formula tastes terrible - cannot even stomach taking a full cap. Worst thing I’ve ever tasted (and I am not exaggerating). I’m willing to pay double for brand name just to forget about this experience.

Best little helper in a bottle.
This is a great dupe for the name brand Day Quil. Everyone I work with has children, and all surfaces in the workplace are shared (kitchen, desks, computers, etc) so cold and flu viruses tend to run rampant from the start of back to school season through mid spring. Unfortunately I can't always get through the season without getting a gnarly cold. Fortunately, this stuff helps me get through a shift as a functional human being. It also helps with my horrendous hayfever symptoms after cold/flu season is over, which is an absolute godsend. And the taste isn't half bad!

New formula, can't recommend anymore
Yes, it’s true. The new taste formula is awful. I find myself struggling to drink the medicine, unlike with the old taste formula. And yes, “crystals” appear at the bottom of the formula. I noticed a lot of them with crystals on the shelf with a July 2026 expiration date. The June 2026 expiration date bottles don’t have crystals. I literally checked every bottle on the shelf in-store. 5-stars will only return if the old formula returns. Buy DayQuil or another generic store brand due to these issues.
