A: Thank you for your question. The Delta Children Twinkle Stars Breathable Mini Crib Mattress does have flame protection in the sense that it meets or exceeds flammability standards, but without using added toxic chemical fire retardants.

First, it gives me pause that half the labels say "made in usa" and the other half say "made in canada," which makes me think neither is true. Second, the holes in the mattress cover are big enough for baby fingers to get stuck. Lastly, the mattress cover is textured and too rough for a baby's skin.
