It is also extremely wide so that eventually it rolls off the stiff bottom pad and I bite through it, through the soft stuff. These only last me a month to three months, and it's getting expensive to keep buying these. The break even point is 3 years for the dentist-provided version. I got about twelve off my last dentist-provided version and it fit much better. But until you can get in, it's a viable alternative, I'm glad this exists, and I really appreciate that Target stocks these!

Waste of money
I was an optimist—I thought that this would at least tide me over until my next dentist appointment when I could get a fresh bite guard. Not only does it not stay on your teeth, but it’s squeaky too. I can’t imagine this would stay on through the night in any regard and I feel like even in my subconscious state, I would spit it out because it is a sensory nightmare. I honestly want my money back and I don’t say that very often. I put a really disgusting video with this review if you wanna know what I’m talking about, I don’t recommend watching it.

Garbage
Bought because my night guard from dentist broke after 5+ years. I read directions 3xs then followed to the T. Absolute garbage! The plastic melted through the holder then when you pulled it out, it broke apart. Returning. Don't buy!

Would not recommend
Followed the instructions exactly and still didn’t work and is really uncomfortable. Would like to return because it’s completely unusable but obviously can’t. I would like a refund on this if possible.

I guess it’s kind of the point lol but I’ve used a custom fit mouth guard before this where I sent in an impression of my teeth and I could still bite down all the way, so this is taking some getting used to. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this dentek dental guard for free in exchange for an honest review. The mouth guard comes with a little box and is very easy to use. The fitting was very easy as well, you can heat it either in the microwave or stovetop and it’s very quick. You just heat it and the actual forming only takes two minutes. It really helps me to not grind my teeth too much and is also pretty comfortable. I think it’s a really good alternative to a mouth guard that you can receive from the dentist and it’s also way cheaper.
