Dont spend the money
I wanted to love it but within the first week the seal of the top hatch fell off and the top lid no longer closes. It lasted 1 week so if you don’t close it manually it smells so bad. Will not buy again. Just use a regular trash can

Trap door broke
Trap door broke… it lasted 2 years but you must be gentle with it… I like the eco friendly bags… but I saw other reviews on the door breaking so I’m not sure I’ll get it again

Stinks
Holds a good amount of diapers but my baby’s room would smell horrible and wouldn’t contain the smell from diapers.

The smelliest we've used
Smells horrible! We’ve have a Diaper Genie, Ubbi, and now this. I think the diaper genie holds in smell the best BUT it’s such a pain to change out the bags and always left little pieces of torn plastic on my babys floor. And I feel the refills don’t last long. The Ubbi was awesome but since you can use your own bag, they were impossible to pull out of the container and sometime rip. And after about a year it started to smell so badly. No matter what I did to clean it or scent it nothing worked and it stunk up my littles room. Now with this new one, I read a bunch of reviews and loved the price point so I thought we’d give it a try. After ONLY 24 HOURS my sons room smells worse than ever! And it only has about 6 diapers in it. Sadly we will be returning and trying a different brand. (Side note, the opening trap door is really cool but unfortunately my Lo figured out the lock in the first day)

The Dekor Diaper Pail utilizes a continuous liner system which allows you to take out one diabolical diaper or a buttload of diapers without wasting a whole bag. We do recommend emptying the pail more regularly if your little one is on solids and you are noticing odors escaping the pail.

Great for me.
I’m surprised how many people dislike it, works great for me. We have only been using it for 2 months but I like that it’s “hands free”, never smell it and always closes unless you have too many diapers in the bag.

Smells horrible after a week use,
Smells horrible. I should have listened to the reviews.. but I went ahead and bought. I should of spend 10$ on a regular trash can with lid . Odor gets stuck to daiper pail. I have to leave it out to air out even then it smells. ALSO U HAVE TO CLOSE THE LID EVERYTIME STOPS WORKING AFTER ABOUT 2 WEEKS

Thank you for your feedback. The Dekor Pail does have three odor seal agents. There is a rubber seal on the inside of the lid, a rubber seal on the inside of the insert, and finally the fresh powder scent on the refills. With the Lid not currently closing properly that could prevent the smell from being closed in. We would recommend checking the cartridge to make sure it is installed with the lip down. Two stars only because it's cute
I wonder if the 5 star reviewers are either nose blind or are paid reviewers. This thing stinks. I change the bags at least twice per week, have tried sprinkling baking soda in the bag, and using the Arm & Hammer odor neutralizers but nothing works. I can smell pee pee and poopy diapers before crossing the threshold into the nursery. I added this diaper pail to my registry based on reviews from other parents online but now I feel like I’ve been scammed. My cat’s Litter Genie works much better.

Don't recommend
The lid always stays up and has to be closed manually, after 2 months of daily use it doesn't close all the way anymore. It didn't bother me at first but after 2 months, it has annoyed me more and more as time passes. Also, I was changingthe bag and all of a sudden this ring appered, I don't even know where it goes. Sometimes when I change the bag, it catches on something and the bag rips.

Worst diaper pail on the market
The functionality is great but you might as well use a regular trash can than waste your money. It makes the entire upstairs of my house smell horrendous…Isn’t the point of a diaper pail to help with the smell?

The Dekor Diaper Pail does have multiple features in place to conceal odors, however as your little one moves to solids we do recommend cleaning your pail and emptying the pail more regularly. The Dekor Diaper Pail does offer a continuous liner so you are able to empty the pail without wasting an entire bag after a poopy diaper.

Smells horrible
Cant use for dirty diapers, whole bathroom is horribly smelly due to it every time we put dirty diaper. Otherwise Its a clean way to use for wet diapers.

The Dekor Diaper Pail does offer a continuous liner so you are able to cut the refill off at any time for changing. If your little one is currently on solids we would recommend emptying the pail more regularly as those diapers will have a more aggressive odor than newborn diapers.

Horribly smelly.
I have had four children over the last night years and have always used the more popular brand of diaper pail. When my last pail finally broke, I thought I’d try something new. This Dekor brand was a complete mistake! Heaven forbid even a hint of your child’s bowel movement should end up in this thing! It reeks no matter how frequently you take out its contents. The plastic retains and magnifies all odors, despite claims in its description that it will not. Save your money and your home and buy another brand. This Dekor pail is trash and that is exactly where it’s going.

As a first time parent, I really underestimated the amount of dirty diapers a tiny baby makes! I caved in for a diaper pail at about 2 months and I love this one! No smells until I’m emptying it out or finally reaching the top. I love that it’s hands free and it’s holding so many diapers without an odor! It came with a free refill which is convenient and easy to do. It doesn’t have the markings as listed to start/end a bag but that’s better! It lets me just tear where I need to whether I have a big or small bagful. I’m only worried about having to find the refills in store somewhere since I like them more than I thought I would…

Good for a year
Lasted for almost a year, but the lid never wanted to shut all the way. It did hold a lot of diapers, and kept the smell in for the most part.
