Q: is this alcohol free?

A: There is an alcohol free version by this company but this particular product has natural alcohol. If you want alcohol free, buy the "Gentle Balance Toner" of this brand. The label says "alcohol free". It has a purple lid. I use 100% witch hazel and even though it has 14% natural alcohol, it does not sting or dry out my face. It is not like rubbing alcohol.

A: It does have a natural smell from the ingredients (as opposed to being artificially perfumed), and I do feel it's kind of pungent. But it doesn't stick around, and it's a smell you'll get used to as you use the product.

A: Hi Summertime. The main difference is the additional Witch Hazel extract added for skincare benefits to our Dickinson's Original Pore Perfecting Toner. The T.N. Dickinson's Astringent does not include the extract.

I like this toner a lot. I have been using it for years and makes my face feel clean and makeup free when I apply it. Later throughout the years, I gained more conscious about animals that get horribly tested in labs and decided to change everything I buy starting off from my hygiene and cosmetics and was amazing to find that this brand is one of the few cruelty free items Ive been using without knowing it. I've been using this for 10 years, and I won't go back. I've used it all from high end to drugstore, only to be left with driex out skin, and huge, painful breakouts. I came across this ten years ago, and this stuff just works. My skin is oily, sensitive and breaks out, and this stuff just combats that. This stuff is sorcery!

I like the Dickinson brand and have used this in the past. It does work well but it is a bit drying for my skin due to the alcohol. I combat this by using a non-alcoholic toner afterwards then my moisturizer.

Bit of false advertising here. The large letter on the front say Witch Hazel. I grabbed it on the go and figured it was what it says it was. It's not. Water, Alcohol, grapefruit seed extract, aloe and other random things. I realized when I opened it up. It doesn't even smell like witch hazel. It's burns going on. Really Tatget. I'm not mad at you for trying something. But just call it facial toner or something. Don't call it something it's not and mislead people.

I will always live by this. In my teen years I dealt with acne flare ups. My skin was so sensitive to everything. Once I bought this, I used it on a cotton round to clean my face day and night and sometimes during the day if I need a refresh. It keeps my skintone even, and my face feels clean. I will always use this! May be different for others but for me it works wonders.

YOU NEED THIS!!!! this stuff saved my skin, my breakouts were consistent, skin was oily yet SO dry, it was just awful! when i started using this my skin cleared up and is so balanced. NOT kidding when i say the only things i use on my face are this, indian healing clay, and shea butter/sweet almond oil. skin feels and looks GREAT!
