Dinty Moore beef stew used to be my favorite go to quick meal. Now there is very little meat and what is in the can is little minced pieces of meat and barely a spoon full. Will not buy again unless you go back to the original recipe..

This brings me immediately back to my childhood! The gravy is so good. Tender vegetables, and so flavorful. Heat it up and put it over a piece of toast/bread.

Same old same old for the last hundred years, that post war generations been long gone, they had learned the can food consumption in the battle grounds, gimme a break the new breeds are in all the downtowns, they don't even care about the can foods. Here what I did, Fried onion in olive oil to golden brown add Turneric , cayenne peppers, black pepper, lemon juice , toasted than dump the beef stews, simmer for ten minutes over medium until the oil come to the surface., garnish with fresh coriander leaves Do I have explain how it tastes ?

I like your beef stew. What I don't like and will not spend my money on is a ton of potatoes and 2pcs of meat. 3 strikes your out. This is 1. I would be more than happy to recommend when you put some meat back in it.

I never had this stew before and it tastes great, i will definitely buy more, good portions of carrots, potatoes and beef, some people don't like the ground beef, but I personally like it, it gives more flavor in each bite.

I grew up on this stuff and I have always liked it. Bought three big cans today and there wasn't a single carrot in any of the cans. Seems to be a common complaint in the reviews now.

Way more potatoes than beef or other ingredients. Needs to be renamed potato stew rather than beef stew!

I'm not sure why yall felt like you needed to change anything. The last two cans I've opened have absolutely no beef chunks (ground???) and literally 3 carrot slices.

Hi M.C., this sounds like there could have been a batch issue at the facility. I have sent out an email directly to you so we are able to gather more information!

No carrots, too many potatoes, and what kind of meat is this

I grew up with Dinty Moore, as a kid I loved this stuff. It definitely is not the same. I purchased some the other night. There were no carrots in it. Not one piece. It should be called Potatoes and gravy, not beef stew. Side by side it looks just like my dogs gravy train. I'm scared to know what kind of meat is in it now. Forget quality It's all about making a buck.

I've been eating this beef stew as long as I can remember. These last few cans have been beyond abysmally disappointing, if it were possible I'd give it negative stars. As of lately it has been more of a soup then a stew and the can I'm having for lunch today has ZERO taste. I understand some product are hard to get right now and there's always the bottom line but this is awful. Bring back the old recipe.

I have been eating duty more beef stew for years and lately I have been getting more ground up beef than chunks the carrots are becoming less and less and the potatoes are becoming more and more but my biggest concern is that I'm getting ground up beef instead of chunks of beef what's going on
1 reply from Austin, MN team - 3 months ago
Hi Amber1011, thank you for reaching out! Our stew contains crumbled beef which was a change made quite some time ago. I can certainly pass your disappointment along to upper management!

Pure trash

I haven't bought this stew in awhile. I used to love the beef stew flavor and chucks of real stew meat. I bought one and when I opened it I couldn't believe what I saw. The meat I used to love has been reduced to a pea size processed looking meatball thing. I don't even know if it's real meat. I'm so sick of our American companies producing food for our country is putting out such trash. You guys should be ashamed and put out of business. I've got pics and going to put my review of this crap all over social media. Things must change

I've ate dinty Moore beef stew for a long time since I was a kid I'm 55 yrs old now. I got a can for me and 1 for my son a few days ago & I don't know what's happened but it was the worst I'd ever tasted & neither of us took more than a couple of bites & noticed there's no longer any carrots in it but the taste was really foul I don't know if it was bad or what but I won't be likely to chance losing my money again buying it. Very unsatisfied!
