Don't Keep Silent, by Elizabeth Goddard, is the third book in the Uncommon Justice series. From beginning to end, it offers a thrilling combination of mystery, suspense, action, faith, and romance. With a genuine talent for riveting storytelling, Ms. Goddard has written a book that is rich in setting, characterization, and plot. And like snowflakes falling on a mountain slope, the themes of adversity, faith, perseverance, and second chances add depth and appeal to a captivating story that uplifts while it also entertains.
In Don't Keep Silent, the wintry, alpine setting is immersive and enhances the book by contributing an authentic sensory experience to the story. The wind is raw and frigid, the snow is thick and powdery, and the ice is slick and treacherous. More than a mere place for the story to unfold, the setting itself adds its own layer of danger and mystery.
The vibrant characters also make this book special. They are intense, vulnerable, smart, and interesting. Their needs and decisions are compelling. Page after page, the reader becomes enveloped in their thoughts, feelings, and motivations. As the characters struggle with difficult and dangerous events, they also look for purpose and meaning within their mistakes and choices. Their faith and trust grow stronger as they discover that wholeness is made possible through the promises of God and through choosing to love and serve others.
The engrossing plot of the novel is thoughtfully detailed and thoroughly engaging. With great pacing throughout the novel, important facts and details are thoughtfully uncovered, revealing the truth behind the secretive and disturbing events the characters encounter. Their efforts to make sense of the perilous circumstances makes for a very satisfying reading experience.
Ms. Goddard has succeeded once again in crafting a novel that is truly entertaining and utterly intriguing. With its integral setting, perceptive characters, and gripping plot, Don't Keep Silent easily held my attention from the first chapter to the last. It is a book I can sincerely recommend to all readers who enjoy clean, suspenseful, romantic fiction.

Don’t Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard is the third book in her Uncommon Justice series. Investigative Reporter Rae Burke is on the trail of her missing sister-in-law when she has to ask former DEA agent Liam McKade for help. This story takes you into the back country of Jackson Hole, Wyoming during the winter. Where you not only have to battle the elements but all the bad guys that are hot on your trail looking for revenge! Rae was always trying to measure up to her late father’s memory. His motto seemed to be “if you see an injustice “Don’t Keep Silent” do something about it! This was a great edge-of-your-seat thriller with some difficult topics addressed. Liam and Rae both had to forgive the things from their past to be able to move on with their future. I really enjoyed this book.
I received this book from the publisher for my honest review.

But shortly after Rae shows up in Zoey's hometown, things start to unravel with a room break-in, stolen objects, and attempts against Rae's life.
Liam, a former DEA agent and love interest, could help figure things out--except he blames Rae for his loss of cover and near death the last time they were together.
What did Rae stumble upon that has caused everything to break loose? Can Zoey be alive when everything points to her death?
This clean, fast-moving tale has lots of action, and delivers an exciting ending. This 5-star book will appeal to fans of heart-pumping adventure with a sprinkling of romance.

A Great Series Finisher!

"Investigating is excruciating when you have a personal stake in it." . . . . .
And for Rae Burke, the stakes are incredibly high; not only has her sister-in-law gone missing, but the one man who has the skill set to investigate Zoey's disappearance probably won't even speak to her. Approaching Liam McKade is risky business, for both are now "formers" in their fields because of Rae's previous missteps; she was fired and Liam nearly lost his life. What makes her think that this time will be any different? . . . . . . except that keeping silent is not an option.
This story is incredibly layered, not only with complicated character relationships but with ping-ponging plot lines that propel readers to the edge of their seats and back, while remaining completely perplexed . . . and that's a good thing. There's the fast pace that romantic suspense enthusiasts expect and appreciate, but the story also breathes in a way fits the tender moments. And there are those . . . "he knew this moment was meant to be - proof that things happened for a reason, after all. . . . Could they resurrect what they'd shared before?"
A great finish to the series!

Don't Keep Silent is a wow-I-did-not-see-that-coming kind of book. Never having read any of Elizabeth Goddard's books before, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I will be looking for more of her stories. Even though Don't Keep Silent is the third and final book in the Uncommon Justice series, it is well-read as a stand-alone story. The author fills in enough of the backstories of the characters which keeps the reader from having lots of questions about what has gone on before in their lives. The characters are colorful and riveting, as well as realistic and either likable, relatable, or despicable. Rae and Liam had been involved in circumstances previously, and things did not end well. I enjoyed watching their relationship begin again and evolve into more than colleagues looking for a missing person. The book's setting brings out the beautiful imagery of the winter ski resort area of the mountains of Wyoming. The dialogue flowed seamlessly without sounding forced, and most of the book, with its non-stop action, was unpredictable. I like how the author revealed things layer by layer, keeping me wondering how scenarios were ever going to work out. Readers who love exciting, heart-stopping mysteries will not want to miss Don't Keep Silent. It keeps you eagerly reading until the very last page.

Wow! I had a hard time putting this one down. Just when I thought I had it figured out it would throw me a curve ball and have me jumping the tracks. I love a book that I can’t figure it all out and this author delivers in spades. This book brings to life what is involved in trying to bust a drug and human trafficking ring and the players that you want to see caught keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is book three in the Uncommon Justice series but I had no problem reading it as a stand-alone. Rae and Liam work together but there is still that struggle to not connect on a deeper level which makes the story even more gripping and interesting, especially since they have a past history. The love of family drives Rae to find her missing sister in law. The twists and turns keep you enthralled and throughly entertained throughout. I will definitely have to go back and read the first two books as I want to read Liam’s brothers stories. If you love romantic suspense then you don’t want to miss out on this World Series.

“Don’t Keep Silent”, by Elizabeth Goddard, is a continuation of the Uncommon Justice series following on from the previous two books. It focuses on Liam McKade, the last of the three brothers in this series. You don’t need to have read the other two books but I loved them so I’d recommend it!
Liam is the quiet and opaque brother. He is highly trained having been in the military and the DEA. I enjoyed being inside his head and getting his perspective on his family, the town and the investigation. He is deeply loyal and intelligent but his patience is tested when he runs into Rae Burke, the investigative reporter who used him, blew his cover and broke his heart.
Rae is passionate, determined, impulsive and scared. The combination drives her to seek Liam out, despite their history, to help her hunt for missing sister-in-law . Liam realises the only way to prevent harm coming to Rae is to help her and the two find themselves in the midst of a situation far more sinister and wide-reaching than either anticipated.
As in the previous two novels, the mystery is intriguing, complex and surprising. It kept me guessing to the end! Suspenseful, I found the pages flying by, eager to read what would happen yet. The supporting characters are well-rounded and interesting, they add substantially to the realism of the story.
Both Rae and Liam have a deep faith in God in spite of the difficult circumstances and the dark underworld they have both fought to expose.
The whole series is a delight to read if you enjoy suspense romance! I loved it, it’s a five out of five on the enJOYment scale.
Intense romantic suspense

"It was how he felt once, and he realized that he'd lost himself. Rae was helping him find himself again."
Elizabeth Goddard once again delivers an action-packed, intense romantic suspense with an intricate and well-crafted plot. The chase to find the villain is full of twists and turns and the sheer brilliance in the complexity of the plot can truly be appreciated only at the conclusion of the book. This is book 3 in Uncommon Justice series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. If you enjoy romantic suspense, this book is a must-read for your summer reading list.
Liam, a former DEA agent, is still the fierce warrior who finds his purpose in protecting those in need, uncovering injustice, and bringing justice to the world. Rae, a former investigative reporter, is equally fierce in uncovering injustice and attempting to right the wrongs of the world by not staying silent. They have a tricky past which led to Liam resigning from the DEA and floating in a sea of uncertainty. Rae gets pulled into a secretive world of kidnappings and trafficking when she sets out to find out where her sister-in-law disappeared to. They're thrown into a rollercoaster ride of a lifetime when Rae's search brings her to Liam's hometown and they're almost immediately targeted by someone who is bent on scaring them from digging further. If you've followed the series, you'll be delighted to see Liam's brothers Austin and Heath with their happily-ever-afters in their cameo appearances.
I received a copy of the book from Revell/Baker Publishing Group and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.

Elizabeth Goddard has brought readers a true heart-stopping page-turner with her latest release DON’T KEEP SILENT (Uncommon Justice Book 3). This book is one that will keep you up way into the night! From beginning to end, Goddard takes readers straight into super fast-paced, story of forgiveness (when it is not easy or deserved), honor (that has been earned) and justice (deserved punishment).
It is the story of Investigative Reporter Rae Burke who has traveled from Denver to Wyoming in search of her missing sister-in-law. Only she is going to need the help of the one person in the world who would probably rather never see her again, former DEA agent Liam McKade. The last time Rae saw Liam, she blew his cover on an investigation years in the making and ended with him taking a bullet for meant for her. The trouble is she knows he is the best in the business. When they finally meet to discuss the situation of the missing sister-in-law, they both realize there is much more going on between them than a working situation but both are too afraid to take a risk. Soon, Goddard plunges these two characters into the depths of intrigue that will leave you breathless!
I was provided a complimentary copy of this book by Revell and NetGalley. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.
