Bad design, bogus reviews
First of all, most of these fake reviews were “collected as part of a promotion”. What that means is these people received these flashlights for free or at sizable discount in exchange for a favorable review and therefore can't be trusted. Target has no business posting these bogus reviews from Dorcy's website. Second, this particular flashlight has 2 issues that should preclude any thoughts of buying it. The first issue is that the battery is not user replaceable. So when the battery dies for good, in the trash the flashlight goes. Second issue is you cannot leave the flashlight on the charger after it finishes charging. This means it lacks a function to detect a full charge and shut off charging, so you have to babysit the thing or you can damage the battery. And when that happens, since the battery isn't replaceable, guess what.......in the trash it goes....where it belongs.
