Double Media Storage Tower - Black - Prepac: Holds 320 CDs, 130 DVDs, 14 Adjustable Shelves, Wood Composite

Ordered this because it has decent reviews. It’s a little pricey, but that’s where we are in 2026…everything is. Opened it up. First, the directions aren’t amazing. It’s a simple piece of furniture and doesn’t require much for direction, but larger diagrams would’ve been nice for my “old” eyes. Second, it is cheaper than Sauder stuff in my opinion. I miss Atlantic Media because their stuff was nice for the money. It’s not worth $95 plus tax even if it’s correct and can be built. Lastly, I could not assemble this. The top of one of the sides where you insert the dowels was drilled too deep and the entire dowel disappeared inside…oh well…but the real problem was that the top of the cabinet was drilled incorrectly. You can see from the photo that the front should overhang meaning the back should be completely flush so you can install the backing. The backing btw was actually the nicest part of this piece. Well the holes were drilled backwards so the finished side faced the back in order to be flush. If I turned it around the correct way, the overhang was on the back about 2-3 inches. Yeah…that’ll work… I purposely installed the cam pieces on the wrong side of the top to show in the photos that the holes are wrong. I will say that the design and the ease of assembly are fine but the QC wasn’t there on this one. Hopefully it wasn’t an entire run of them that were bad. Value also isn’t there. Returned. Waste of time and money. I won’t be trying anything else from Prepac for now.

Getting the proper capacity this thing claims it holds is hard. Even with CDs it's hard to make it work but trying to use this for Blu-Ray or DVDs (or in my case PS4) leaves a gap at the bottom that doesn't make for a very practical storage space and just looks tacky at the end of the day and barely fits what it claims to. I mean, it looks nice but if you are looking for functionality then avoid this one.

I bought this to hold my DVD's, and it does its job. its sturdy and doesnt tip over. My only small gripe is I underestimated my DVD collection, and it cant fit everything, but that's my own fault for not paying attention to the details. Other than that, it works perfectly.

Great product.. Easy to put together.. I liked the first one so much that I purchased a second one.. Fits all of my Video Games, DVDs, Blu-Rays and 4K-UHD Movies perfectly...

Very nice and easy to assemble, I bought 2 of them, 2nd one had a couple of small blemishes but it does come with a detalling maker. I suggest to use a black Sharpie instead. You cant beat the price!

I will never order this item again. Although the quality is there and the size is perfect. I was unable to put it together. The predrilled holes in the base and the top were too small to fit the dowels and the locking screw pieces. I had to wait until my son could bring his drill to fix that for me, as I was unable to get a response from the company themselves to get the correct pieces. Their customer service is terrible.

Not nearly as big as the picture makes it seem; make sure to check the dimensions before ordering. I actually had to buy 2 because it was much smaller than expected. However it was very easy to put together

You get what you pay for. Slightly damaged (scratches) on arrival though there is a black marker enclosed to cover these (must happen a lot!).
