A: Hi, thank you for reaching out to Dr. Bronner's! Soap that is labeled “antibacterial” means that active antimicrobial ingredients have been added to it. At this time, none of our soaps or cleaning products contain these specific ingredients; therefore, we do not label them as “antibacterial.” However, the US Food and Drug Administration published a report indicating that soap and water are just as effective at mechanically removing microbes as antibacterial soap is at killing microbes. Also, keep in mind that antibacterial soap can also kill good microbes along with the bad, often containing known toxins such as triclosan. For these reasons, we believe our soap is safer and more effective than an antibacterial agent, even though it is not labeled as such. The name and image aren’t the only changes…ingredients have changed and so has the smell. Doesn’t smell as citrusy and the lavender doesn’t even smell like lavender. Yet the prices remain the same.

Love this soap to wash all kinds of things!! I use it as hand soap in my foaming dispenser, to wash tye wood floors in my house, in a homemade granite countertop cleaner and to wash my dog!! Excellent soap for so many uses!!

I'm so happy to have found clean soap for my babies and myself. It only takes 1 pump to clean an entire body so the bottle lasts a really long time. I very much appreciate that they offer a refill option in paper (instead of plastic). And all the scents are beautiful.

This is a fantastic all-in one. I use on hair, face, body, and as a shaving soap. Great wintertime energizing soap for days where one doesn’t want the instant cool of the mint soaps! Super lathering, great smell, and the bottle will last me a long time. I can’t wait to try it on RAGBRAI this year.

I bought a gallon jug of the citrus liquid soap about a month ago. Been using it as a diluted bath wash. I never felt like I truly showered until that day. Felt like cracking open a bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice on a summer morning. Been using it occasionally to wash my bedding and mop my floors too. Buy the gallon, trust me. The sticker price may seem high. But if you dilute it goes insanely far. I'd go to war for you guys. Ride or die. You've made a customer for life, and changed a man.
