Q: Hi what’s the ratio for the acidic rinse in other words the acv?
submitted by Rockelle - 2 months ago
A: Hi, Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Bronner's! You can use a 1:1 dilution of water and apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. After rinsing the soap out of your hair, pour the diluted rinse over your hair, using your fingers to comb it through. Rinse it thoroughly. Should you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

Leaked in transit
If I could give zero stars I would for this on-line order. When received, everything was saturated with soap. Bottle leaked into the bag and into the box. This was a replacement for damaged on-line order which also leaked. I like the product but won't buy anymore unless it's in the store.

Great soap but expensive
I got this soap because I thought it was more of a sugar scrub. It's just a simple sugar soap, which seems really expensive for that. It works great and smells wonderful. But I'd rather use the bar soap instead. I can't justify spending this much on one bottle of hand soap.

The best hand soap on Earth
I am a Massage Therapist and I need my hands to be super clean all the time and this is the only soap that does it right. It cleans my hands better than any soap out there. You only smell the soap while you’re using it. There’s no lingering scent. 100% worth every penny.

My new go-to shampoo!
Transitioning as my new shampoo and love it with the Citrus Hair Rinse. I’ve been using the combo for about 2 weeks…my hair is really soft and is not as tangly so less breakage/hair loss. I highly recommend this product but also recommend reading the blog post if you intend to use as shampoo!

New name, same great soap, better than shampoo!
This soap used to be called Shikakai. I used to carry it in my store and have always loved it for texture, foam, and essential oil blends. I like it better than shampoo for washing my hair!

Our new shampoo in support of Palestine 🇵🇸
I ordered a bunch of Dr. Bronner’s stuff due to their human rights advocacy in Palestine. My husband has curly hair and has long refused a proper curly hair regimen. I convinced him to try Dr. Bronner’s 4-in-1 soup since I didn’t want him to worry about dilution and also have a shampoo feel to the soap. He loves it, especially due to the Peppermint that makes him feel fresh after a hot sweaty day (we live in humid New England). And…his hair isn’t dry and his curls are still pronounced. I’m sure if he uses the vinegar rinse his hair would be shinier but I will keep what I can get from someone who is zero maintenance!

Leaves hands with residue
I really wanted to like this sugar soap because I love Dr. Bronner's other soaps. However, this soap leaves my hands feeling sticky and like there is a residue.

A Blessing for Sensitive Scalp
I have been struggling with a super sensitive and inflamed scalp since having kids 5 years ago. For whatever reason, this seems to be the only shampoo I’ve tried that leaves my scalp feeling nice and calm. Along with the Dr. Bronners acidic rinse, it also leaves my hair pretty soft and manageable. The only “downside” is that I do periodically require a separate conditioner, maybe once a week or so. However, I have quite dry curly hair, so this may just be due to my hair type. Overall a great product from a great company!
