Every liquid, whether full or not, will leak from this cup! I had it sitting on the counter with water in it and it leaked!

Super hard to drink from. Maybe that is the intent to avoid spilling but requires a lot of suction to get any water out.

This was the perfect cup for my son to transition to a sippy cup. He's comfortable using straws in general and using other cups now. So happy with this purchase!

When assembly correctly, it is fairly leakproof. However, the weighted straw pulled the spout down out of the lid, which makes it NOT leakproof. I returned, every time my child tried to use it there was water everywhere.

Leaks SO MUCH from the straw! Such a pain when using for milk because it will leak all over the place. Definitely do not recommend, I would use the other Dr browns straw cups any day over this cup.

This cup was recommended by our LO OT but after reading the reviews I was skeptical. If it wasn’t recommended by the OT I wouldn’t have gotten it because I didn’t like the reviews. The cup comes with NO instructions that tell you how to take it apart and put it back together. The straw comes apart into two pieces and it does detach from the lid. Then the handles detach from the lid and like most cups the lid unscrewed from the cup. I just bought my second cup after a month of having the first one. People complain about the cup leaking after there kid dropped it… well my lo throws it on the ground every time they are done with it. 6-10 times a day… Yes 2-3 time when they dropped it the seal opened and it leaked a little until I took it apart and washed it and put it back together no more leak. Also because once they suck up the liquid it will sit in the very top part of the straw a few drops can “leak” out if you tip it or they fling the straw but it doesn’t continue to leak. I do had wash it every night and we only use water in ours. It does come with a little mini straw cleaning brush. You do have to make sure it is dry before putting it back together. It is definitely not the easiest cut to clean. For me the great design that my lo can actually use is worth the extra effort for cleaning it. Once we are at the next stage of the cup it will be easier to clean. It was recommended for us after trying many other cups that my LO couldn’t drink out of. This cup they got the hang of in 2-3 days. I am so glad we tried it.

Pro: This was the only straw cup where water flow was good. Other brands required so much force to get water through the straw, it was even difficult for me. I also really loved the slide cover. Didn’t have to worry about losing or dropping a lid/cover. Cons: After months of use, lots of air bubbles started getting into the straw while my toddler was drinking. I don’t want my child swallowing all that air… Also, there are multiple pieces to the straw and weight that require being taken apart to clean. You also need to scrub crevices with a narrow bottle brush or mold will grow. Lastly, the handles have to snap into the lid in a particular way or the lid wouldn’t screw on which was annoying.

Item was used and it worked fine but once it was taken apart to wash the straw stopped working. Also, the handle is a pain to attach.

The endless search for the non-hideous go-to sippy cup continues, but this Dr. Brown’s straw cup is up there. The pros are that the colors are muted, the cup is clear, the weighted straw works well, and the downward-facing handles mean it can slip onto a stroller bar (essential). The cons: Difficult to clean due to multiple parts and thin straw, and thus, practical for water use only. And I am still a low-key beige parent so I wish there were more color choices. Overall, I lost one and went ahead and repurchased because the price point was good.
Not leakproof

Absolutely NOT leakproof. You can visibly see the hole that the water leaks from so I’m not sure how some do not have a problem with leaks. My infant throws it around and it leaks everywhere. Even closing the lid does nothing
