Description

We designed Dr. Scholl’s® Corn Removers with Hydrogel technology specifically for people who have corns on their feet and want a discreet way of removing them.

Why it Works:
• A corn is caused by the buildup of hard, dead skin over an area of pressure. Corns on the feet are often caused by friction and pressure from footwear as well as abnormal patterns of walking or repetitive activities (such as in sports).
• Dr. Scholl’s® Corn Removers with Hydrogel technology provides corn treatment and cushioning protection against shoe pressure and friction to relieve pain.

How to Use:
Step 1: Place sticky side of disc directly over center of the corn.
Step 2: Remove backing film marked “Step 1” and place center (adhesive side down) over the disc.
Step 3: Remove backing film marked “Step 2” using the blue tab and firmly smooth down adhesive edge to skin.

Q: Would this help with removing calluses such as writer callus?

submitted by ML312 - 4 years ago
  • A: Thank you for inquiring about our Dr. Scholl's Duragel Medicated Corn Remover Bandages. Writer’s calluses are smaller than the typical calluses found on the foot. The corn remover treatment discs for calluses and corns are sized for feet to ensure that the disc is placed on and treats the corn or callus but not the surrounding skin. However, as an OTC drug, we cannot directly recommend that it be used outside of it’s indications for use, which as labeled, is for corns. Therefore, please confirm with your pharmacist that the corn remover product can and is the best remover for use for Writer’s callus.

The new Version is Junk

The old version " One Step Corn Removers" was a great product that really worked and was easy to use. The new version "Corn Removers, seal and heal bandage is a pain to use (two parts) and not as good as the old. I hope they change back.

What happened to these pads. New config is a sticky mess to unpackage and apply. Had to improvise and use regular bandaid with the medicated pad.

Difficult to apply

This product is difficult to apply. The medicated disk fell off when I applied it to the corn. When the step 1 backing is removed the adhesive curls up and sticks to itself and I could not get it apart so I had to open another adhesive package. I think the adhesive maybe too sticky for the sheer bandage strip it is applied to or the bandage strip material is too sheer. Either way something isn't working right here and the price paid. The good news is that it seemed to help with softening the tiny callus on the inside of my little toe. After a couple of weeks the callus came back so I will be repeating the process in order to get some relief.

at first i was a bit confused and didn’t realize there was the little medicated disc, i thought it was already on the bandage, but that was user error. has worked wonders, i think in total i used it 4 times to fully remove 1 corn, only because if i wasn’t wearing socks the bandage would come off, i just used a regular bandage over for extra support . i would definitely purchase again if needed to and would definitely recommend.

These are supposed to remain on the corn for 48 hours. The first time I applied it (at night, before bed), they were coming off by morning. The next time I was super careful. That lasted maybe 15 hours. Not worth it!

Don’t Do It!

I would not recommend. The initial instructions were unclear, but after applying it, the adhesive lasted for the recommended two days. I was using it as a preventative measure for small, developing soft corns. I put it on 4 of my toes. When I removed the product, it left a noticeable white cast. Although I followed the reviews' advice to leave it alone, the cast has since faded to match my skin tone, but it has left a clear imprint. I've attempted to file it down, but I'm concerned about further irritating my skin. Unfortunately, my feet are in worse condition than before, and I regret using this product.

This item costs more than generic removers you can find at pretty much any store, and works far less effectively. Medicated discs tend not to stick, and when they do, they do little to nothing compared to the generic products I’ve used in the past.

Absolutely do not buy . I wish someone would have warned me. It leaves you with rough skin and worse than what you started with. In the photo below is how it is after a day. Made everything so much worse.

Works great! Removed corn after just two treatments. The cushion was perfect to help with pain/pressure from shoes. My only concern is now that the corn is removed, I don’t know what my next step is to protect my open wound/new skin

I really want to sue y’all. This product completely burned my skin and has left near permanent damage. Lack of instructions and messy application caused this liquid to burn my healthy skin. Now I have to deal with a blister burn and discoloration. DO NOT USE THIS. I have see others have the same experience and it’s sad they are still in business.

I developed a corn on my left foot after breaking my right foot. I've been putting more weight on the left and a corn has developed on my left little toe. It has helped with the pain but I've got conflicting information. The packaging says use a disc for 48 hours up to 14 days. Here on the website it says to use them 2-3 times a week. Need some clarification please
