Entertaining with a few hitches

Combat was fun and felt really good; the story was straight forward and was reminiscent of DA2 with its more direct storytelling; the characters were fun tho some of their writing was a little ham fisted sometimes and it rarely pulled me away from the story; the ending was super satisfying and felt really cool. Wasn’t a fan of the airbrushed quality of the colors on the people and I did not care for a lot of the armor choices (really missed changing colors of things in DAI). Also, not happy with the lack of interaction with your party members, too reminiscent of ME3. All in all, I really enjoyed the game.

Ignore the people giving 1 Star because the game allows you to play as a transgender person if you wish to. It in no way diminishes the quality of the story or gameplay. These same people gave Hogwarts Legacy 5 stars to promote a game that supports JK Rowling. Mind you, that game ALSO lets you play as a transgender character. So, their biased reviews based on a hate filled agenda is confused at best.

Disliked the push for real world terms. Nothing like a fantasy game should be. I'm gay myself but the pushed agenda was NOT for me. I love Dragon Age and was so excited for this one.

If you enjoyed past DA games, you'll probably like this one too!

Dragon Age has been my favorite game franchise since Origins. They haven’t all been perfect, but I feel like this one was a really great addition to the franchise. I loved it.

At the end of the day, to buy or not to buy is on you, the one reading this. But as a Dragon Age (or rather, a BioWare fan) I cannot, in good faith, recommend a game with dialogue and story written this lazily.

it’s fine as long as you don’t expect anything like the rest of the series. maybe that’s too much; maybe it feels a bit like 2. still, that’s not a good thing.

Terrible writing, linear game, poor player agency. Ignores previous game choices. Modern terminology that doesn't fit in fantasy world.

Amazing storyline and graphics. I love the customizability of not only your character and the paths they take while still retaining a focus in the epic story. Highly recommend it.

Incredible game! I've been playing the Dragon Age games for 15 years and have loved every single one, including this one. Ignore bad faith reviews and just jump in. I'd give it a 9/10; if it carried over past choices with small cameos or even just codex mentions, it would be a 10/10.

An alarming departure from previous Dragon Age games. Much of the writing is terrible and completely irrelevant to a medieval fantasy RPG.

Give this game a chance I was undecided at first if I was going to buy this game or not but after playing it the first hour or two it seems like a lot but give it a little longer and you will be greatly surprised it’s very fun lots of action yes lots of talking also but it’s part of the story and you start to get invested and appreciate it and the combat is good lots of options to choose from like I said I wasn’t going to buy only because of all the bad press it got before release but I changed my mind and I’m so glad I did not I’m over 30/50 hours In and still not completely finished yet with main quest or side quest so give it a chance if you are on the edge about this game if your able to it just might surprise you

So much fun. A return to interesting story telling and it brought back a favorite dialogue choice option. Your Rook can have a humourous/charming response that I missed from Inquisition. And it's supposed to be a complete experience, no worries about DLC or needing an expansion. For the price you get a fully finished game, which is refreshing in itself.
