When we discovered Duke's original sausages we had to work our way through all the offerings. The hatch chili sausages are, hands down, our family favorite. They are perfect as a protein snack and ever-so-tasty. I keep a supply on hand (thanks to Amazon's subscribe & save. We had to put a 4-sausages per day limit on them, or else our grown son would take them to his room and devour them in no time. I am tempted to start adding them to recipes. They work well in scrambled eggs, and vastly improve my already great homemade 5-cheese soup. Baked beans might be next. The possibilities are endless!

The Hatch Green Chile is my favorite flavor. The originals were good and the spicy were also good. But the Hatch Green Chile has such a strong chili pepper flavor, but not spicy. I love these!

Hatch Green Chile sausages are very good. However, they are too salty for me

So I've bought lots of sausages. Fresh, cured, dry, not dry. I got these in box of camping equipment a guy was selling. Really expired, but not yet opened. And I thought, maybe I die, maybe I have a great snack. It wasn't just a great snack. It was phenomenal. It had exactly the right amount of heat. It had the right texture and the perfect amount of dryness. I've been low carb dieting so I eat a ton of sausages. And it's important to me to have some great options to keep my morale up and keep me on this weight loss path. These were a huge boost to my diet. And one pack made for three snacks, so even if I had bought it it would have been great value. And I can't speak highly enough about How great the packaging was. Two years expired and still tasted great. The zipper lock part didn't last through three snacks, but that didn't hurt anything. I would love to find these again. They're my new favorite snack. A little spicy, and definitely tasty.

My husband and I crave these shorties. I keep buying them and then they "disappear." He keeps stealing them! And he is NOT a snacker.

I discovered the Original Shorties a while back and love that they are without nitrites. When our local store was out, I thought I'd try the Hatch Green Chili shorties. Now I am so addicted I buy all of them off the shelf when I go to restock. My grandson and I go through a bag in an hour!

The pigment that results is carmine extract, and it’s used as a red “natural color” in a range of foods and body products. Your product would be so much better without this garbage.

When shopping for a snack I read the ingredients and felt this product was a healthy snack choice and love the flavor. Great quality and taste. I went back to purchase 5 bags. I will probably purchase online because the store ran out. Keep up the great job. Thank you very much.

one of the nastiest meats ive ever had. also contains carmine (bugs) absolutely disgusting

I was taken in by the natural ingredient and description on the front. Imagine my disappointment when I saw the ingredients include carmine! Yes, carmine is crushed bugs. Please change this so I can purchase your products.

They advertise that they use whole chopped up peppers instead of just spices and I definitely think you can taste the difference. These are delicious. The hatch chile is definitely noticeable, and it doesn't taste like the generic "spicy jalepeno" that you often get with similar stuff

Outstanding snack. Been buying at the PX at every base I have been stationed. The price is getting eye wateringly high even on post. Don't price a great item out of reach.

As soon as i took a bite I realized that I ran into a contradiction when trying to explain what I like about this product because In one hand this product category is not something that typically relates or is associated with freshness but taking a bite out of it it felt like taking a bite of a fresh green pepper mind blowing love it

Wow! What a tasty smoked sausage! It contains the proper amount of hatch green chile flavor and heat. Being backed with the right amount of sweetness. Highly recommend with all the flavor that one desires.
