A: It is suppose to be like that just hold down the string and wind it up a few times release the string and continue winding it up

Decent yoyo
We are still practicing but this is a great yoyo for the price. It sits at the bottom well. The spring action to get it back up is a little tricky but overall it works. Great for those starting out. My 7 year old wasn't quite tall enough for it but is getting the hand of it.

I thought because it was the original brand Duncan that it would be a decent yoyo. Within 5 seconds of use the string knot came undone making it impossible to wind up the thread rendering it useless. I bought two of these and the same exact thing happened to both within seconds. Save your money
