[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review comes from the perspective of an absolute novice in the areas of security system installation and operations. As a determined (stubborn) female, I wanted to actually learn the process rather than simply requesting the professionals at Swann to just do it for me. Looking back, I am truly glad that I went the DIY installation route. There are incredibly detailed step-by-step instructions included for every component of the system; and the information is provided in English, Spanish and French. The package includes everything that you will need, with the exceptions of an HDTV and router. Ultimately, the only part of the installation process that I found to be even moderately difficult was determining where I wanted to run the cable and put the cameras. If you would prefer not to have the small wires exposed, I recommend running them under your carpet or behind baseboards. I waited weeks before writing this review so that I could familiarize myself with the system and genuinely speak from firsthand daily user experience. To summarize, this system exceeded every expectation. The picture quality is phenomenal, even in complete darkness. The red and blue flashing lights are shockingly bright and startling. I believe they will be an excellent deterrent for anyone who dares to consider breaking into my home. I do also appreciate the fact that the cameras are sophisticated enough not to be fooled by my dogs or the deer that visit my property. There have been no false alarms. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with this security system and would recommend it to absolutely everyone. The peace of mind that it provides to me is priceless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this security system ,the guide was easy and very helpful with the setup of the security system. The day and night image quality is perfect and clear , it also have settings that you can adjust to your specifications ( ex. you can set the sirens and flashing lights to on or off ) which helped us during the day when we are home and don't need the sirens and flashing lights going off .LOL I have had other security systems before and this is the best one so far , especially since there is no monthly fee.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are some great quality cameras. They do take a little bit of time with installation as there is wiring that needs to be done. These have excellent viewing at night. You are able to control these with your smart phone with the Swann Security App. I also love that they are able to store six months of video onto 1TB hars drive! These are a must have with all the increased violence in our country.
