submitted byMACAVA - 8 months agoA: It doesn't last very long. Any amount of eating or drinking fades it unevenly and it looks bad. Use it to experiment with colors but don't use ELF as your main lip stain.

Q: Do these lip stain glosses come with safety seals on the lipgloss? Or does it just come in the lipgloss packaging with no safety seals?

A: I've bought 3 colors (great stuff!!) for a total of 6 separate purchases, and none have had any sort of seal on the gloss. e.l.f. team, you might want to check on that.

I love the other lip stains that are darker colors (berry and sienna) I thought I’d like this one (basic beige) as well since it looks darker online. When I received it though it’s a REALLY light orangey pink color. Doesn’t look anything like the color online and does not look good on.

First let me say I got power mauve and love the color, it's very pretty,... but I really don't understand all the hype for this stain. It is very drying and felt like it sucked the moisture out of my lips and gave me chapped lips. Also, it does not last, no stain left behind. I had to re-apply several times. I tried layering it, I waited to eat or drink anything but nope. Im bummed I really wanted to like this, especially because the color is so pretty.
What I like: beautiful color and it really is a lip stain. Dislikes: the size is TINY

The packaging really hides the tiny size... it's about the length of my thumb- and the applicator is tiiiiny. I expected something bigger for the price. It really does stain my lips though. The berry color won't come off no matter how much I rub haha

I received this product for free so i could give this review. the color i got was rose rizzin and the color is definitely not for me as a medium dark skin tone. the formula is mostly good and doesn’t go on patchy however there is a slight paint like smell that only really appears when you open the product not when you apply it.

The color Rose Rizzin unfortunately was not my color. I looked like I had stained juice lips. The texture was a little too runny for my liking and spread to my skin very easy.

I received this lip stain in exchange for my honest opinion. I do like the texture of the lip stain and the fact that it doesn’t dry down all the way matte or dehydrate my lips. It also isn’t sticky and doesn’t peel off like other lip stains do. However, I don’t really like how this color looks on me as a medium-toned Black woman. If anything, after applying I would mix it with a deeper red or something else to get the shade that I’m looking for. I do appreciate that it’s buildable, and as shown in one of my pictures you can definitely make the color more opaque by adding multiple layers of the lip stain. If I buy it again, it will be in a different color.

Don’t play with me. Basic beige used to be my favorite shade. I ordered 4!!!!! To stock up only to find out they changed it. I even paid the customs fee just to be disappointed. I mean look… old vs new… it used to be a nice darker shade, now it’s this weird pinkish orange

I enjoy this lip product!!! It looks high end, feels luxury, for the value it is so worth it. It makes swiping a little color on your lips simple. I was able to sample this lip stain gloss in peach. The color is vibrant and bright, definitely a peachy coral color if that’s what you’re looking for. It feels nice going on you only need a thin layer and you’re good to go. It’s a petite size tube but you can take it anywhere with you and a little goes a long way. I’m happy with this product’s quality and result! It stays on. Personally the color it is a little bright for me as a pale girlie it stands out on me, I would love to try other colors though! ELF kindly gave me this peach lip stain for free thought the bzzagent sampling program so that I could review it.

I received this lip stain in Rose Rizzin' in exchange for my review, but please note that my review is honest and I'm very happy with this product!! This lip gloss feels soooo good! Buttery soft and not sticky AT ALL. I can comfortably wear it for hours, it literally feels like a moisturizing balm! Doesn't dry out my lips and keeps them soft and hydrated. The finish is glossy and kind of “wet”, so my lips and overall look appears more vibrant and fun! Definitely not satin or matte like I saw in the description. It lasts a VERY long time if I don't eat or drink much, like at least 4 hours, but it isn't possible to not drink or eat anything for many hours of course, so it partially transfers and becomes less glossy. But the color stays even after that (see the pic where I removed the product off my hand using a paper tissue). I'm very happy with this lip stain and would repurchase it in other colors.

This was so pretty! I really liked the color and the texture of it. Felt like the color doesn’t last more than 30 min- 1 hr. I don’t think it worked as a stain at all. More like a lip balm/stick instead. Plus the size is actually a really small amount. You can get the same color in elf’s other lip products for more amount and same price.
