e.l.f. Putty Color-Correcting Eye Brightener - 0.14oz

Great coverage for dark circles and easy to apply. After moisturizer, I warm it using my fingertips, pat it under my eyes, and they are instantly brightened with dark circles covered! I do not use face primer over or under this or go in with concealer after—this on its own is enough. I go over it lightly with my foundation, and of course set the under eye area with powder, and haven’t had any issues with creasing or the color looking “off.” You get a nice amount of product in the package considering you don’t have to use much. I keep reading reviews that elf discontinued this (please don’t!), so I bought another to have as back-up.

I discovered this product again in a drawer where it was placed after first buying it for being useless. I thought that warmer temperatures might help it apply better. It made the same mess that it did in the first place. It does not apply smoothly. It remained in clumps as experienced in earlier attempts to make it work.

It is light and covers nicely

I bought this a couple times and tried to make it work but even using the lightest shade it still runs orange on my skin

I am happy I bought this product it really helps my dark circles and with a brush I can apply then blend out exactly where I need it!

I've been struggling to find a product for hiding my dark circles under my eyes. This one instantly brightens. Can be used alone or under my concealer. I love it. Please dont discontinue it.

So disappointed that they stopped making this! It is the only concealer I can use that doesn’t make my skin look older or caked. The new camo that they claim as the replacement is absolutely horrible. It is so thick and shows every imperfection. Please bring this back!

This product mimics the Clinique Touch Base Eye Primer that I've used for years. I also appreciate the under eye coverage too!

I love this product and its texture is amazing!!!!

I have under eye discoloration. Nothing too severe. Despite that, I haven't found anything that helps cover them and even out my skin tone. I gave this a try and am disappointed once again. It's gooey, pasty, covers nothing at all and highlights fine lines under me eyes that aren't even there with a clean washed face. It was a waste of money.

I'm allergic to all sorts. But ok with this. Nice and moisturising snd great colour and coverage for before my conceler. But covers quite well by itself. Please never stop producing this. I love it and I've tryed quite a few. I'm slightly olive skinytone and like light/medium. The medium is also a good colour. A little goes a long way. 3rd pot I've ordered.

Pros: love the coverage and reflection, works well over my fine lines if I use my eye treatment first (caffeine eye serum + thirst burst drops), sets and holds well with powder Cons: I use “fair” and it’s still a little too warm for my skin tone, I balance the warmth with my Halo Glow Liquid Filter, but it would be nice to use just one product

I was hoping that this product would be similar to the Becca undereye brightener (RIP) or---for those of you who are GenX or older---the Ultima 2 undereye brightener (the goat, the absolute best, to this very day nothing compares). Let's talk about the pros first: the product warms up and emulsifies nicely if you use your fingers to grab it and then rub it between your fingers (it's a stuffer, thicker texture; gotta warm it up), it does offer prime color correction---I used the fair shade on my undereye area, and it did an *incredible* job of canceling out my dark circles (thank you, Serbian genetics!), and you get a good amount for what you pay. As far as pros...that's about it. Now for the cons: I mentioned the product emulsifies nicely between your fingers. It does. However, this product did NOT blend out easily...or really at all. It was so strange. I used my fingers, a sponge, and a brush. The best application WAS with my fingers, gently tapping it under my eyes---the warmth and oils from my fingers obviously helped. Sponge application was absolutely awful, and I tried both a damp as well as a dry sponge (product just stuck to the sponge; damp worked slightly better). Brush application was so-so; used a small synthetic brush. Was patchy and really hard to move the product around. At first grab, the product feels emollient, but that gets lost in translation. Once you start applying, the product seems to stiffen back up, which is so odd. Another thing that was odd was even though the product never seemed to soften up, it stayed kind of stiff, it STILL collected in my creases after a couple hours! Tried my best to tap out the creases when this happened, but the product just stayed kind of bunchy and chunky. Before applying, I made sure my skin was properly cleansed, exfoliated, and moisturized/prepped. I tried using some different skincare products than usual and less than what I normally apply (my skin is 'combination'---undereye gets a bit dry). I just COULD NOT get this product to work for me. Definitely avoid if you have dry undereyes. Don't apply with anything but your fingers. The less you pick up, the better it'll apply. Don't manipulate it TOO much or for TOO long ir you're going to have problems. Honestly, if you're in need of brightening and/or color correcting, I'd say go with elf's color corrector in a tube and mix some with their Hydrating Camo Concealer. THAT is a winning combo.
