Don’t buy hilshire anymore

Great for Grilling
I grew up on Eckrich sausages here in Texas. It was always great with a pot of pinto beans and fried potatoes. I have discovered over the years, one of my favorite way to eat the sausage and especially this skinless version, is to grill up skewers with chunks of fresh pineapple and the sausage. When charred a little bit, on the grill the flavor combination of the two is unbeatable.

What the heck happened to the smoked sausage
I always bought eckrich smoked sausage with the casing on and thought it was delicious. How do you get meat to stick together like that without a casing, I do not know, meat glue maybe. It definitely does not taste the same and I've been buying it forever and now I'm not. there's something off with the skinless smoked sausage.

Weird taste
This does not taste like kielbasa. It has such a strong, strange taste. It’s like horseradish or something… needless to say, I will not be buying it again

I've never had a problem with the way it tastes until now. It had like a vinegary taste or something. Something was definitely off! All of it went into the trash. What a waste of money!

I buy this all the time as a healthier alternative to beef kielbasa. My entire family noticed something was off - tasted like horseradish or some off taste. No one liked it and we ended up eating just the pierogis with cabbage and no kielbasa- this was unfortunate tasting.

I was looking forward to my frequent, simple dinner of pasta with kielbasa. I was displeased to find that the pork, beef, turkey kielbasa had changed to pork and chicken! Definitely not the same anymore and not nearly as good.

Delicious Kielbasa

It can be used in making many easy recipes. I like to prepare it in rolls like a sandwich or cut into bit and included in rice. So tasty!

Polska kielbasa is definitely my favorite now. I like to fry it and eat with eggs or to just make a sandwich with cheese and tomatoes.

Great taste

We only make our great grandfather's recipe - and nothing is written down - we had to video tape him doing it to try and get an idea of what and how much of what, goes in it! So, when we don't have any of the good stuff aka homemade then we turn to Eckrich to fill in the gaps! Their skinless smoked flavor is comparable to that of my grandfathers! Definitely a 10/10 in our household! Love to add this to jambalaya whenever we make it!
