Safety Hazard - Metal poking out
My 5 year old desperately wanted this for her birthday. She played with it nonstop for 2 days, and then came to show me that the hammer has a piece that broke off - exposing sharp metal. Also, the screwdriver doesn't seem to be working either. It worked for a few days, and then stopped. I've changed the batteries a few times, and it's not working...

Great for beginners
My daughter loves playing with this, it is visually appealing and can withstand use, especially from a 3 year old who doesn't understand gentle! Sometimes she struggles to get the nails into the middle holes as the bench gives a little in the middle but this doesn't seem to bother her. Adding to the tools with things like a screwdriver and/or wrench would be great and would give the children more to think about. The variety of colours is great and encourages discussion regarding colours, ie. how many of each and how many different colours, although I would possibly add some pink too. We got this for our 3 year old daughter but as you can see her 14 year old brother likes to play with it too! Great for family time, it's easy to incorporate teaching colours and numbers into games whilst still having fun. The storage drawer underneath is perfect for making sure none of the nails abs screws get lost/stood on! I would not hesitate to recommend this product to family and friends.

Epic work bench!
Great to line up colours/ make shapes with the screws and bolts. Toddlers and older siblings alike can benefit. Excellent for motor skills, fine ones too Little screwdriver is brill ( needs 3 x aaa's) hammer is ergonomically fab. The screwdriver screws in and out! Fab for toddlers, fab and interactive for older siblings Fab for grown ups because there are storage drawers AND handy spaces for hammer and drill! Colours are great, instruction book gives shape ideas, really fab and durable piece of kit.

Great for building on coordination and motor skills..
My youngest absolutely loves building and making things, so when I saw this Design & Drill My First Workbench I knew that it would be a big hit! The bench itself is very sturdy and seems to be made from high quality plastic, so will withstand all the hammering my son will give it. It features a pull out draw at the front, that contains two compartments for the nails and the screws. There is two handy spaces at the back to store the hammer and screwdriver. The nails and screws come in different colours, so you can make lots of colourful patterns with them. My son loves hammering in the nails, then pulling them out with the hammer.. just like he's seen grandad do! The hammer has a great textured grip, and the screwdriver is easy for young hands to hold. This set is really helping with my sons fine motor skills and coordination, as well as building his creativity. Being a mum to a 4 and 6 year old, I love this set as I can safely leave my 4 year old playing with it, knowing he will be totally immersed while spending quality time with my elder child. I think a great addition to this set, would maybe be a could of planks of 'wood' to put together or nail to the board, but we will definitely be using this set a lot, and would definitely recommend it.
