Fun way to learn shapes and have fun at the same time!
Such a cute game! All of the pieces are high quality and I love how the bottom part of the box is part of the game so clean up is a breeze! Even the box is very durable so once the box is closed we know all the pieces are in the box and we won't lose any pieces. This game teaches about shapes and helps kids work on their fine motor skills. I also love that my kids (ages 2.5 and 4) are learning to take turns. Obviously I had to help my 2.5 year old with it but this is the perfect game for my 4 year old since we have been working on shapes a lot lately. I like how this game incorporates food items she is familiar with to teach her different shapes! What a fun way to learn! I always love when my kids are learning while playing but they don't even realize it! Highly recommend!

Teaches Matching Shapes
A cute and colorful game that teaches shapes and matching. I found the Frankie Squeezer a little bulky for my 3 1/2 year old grandson's hands although he didn't mind using his other hand to help pick up the pieces. He loved landing on the banana peel "splat!" and losing a turn because he thought it was so funny! Although playing the game with just two of us didn't take long, he wanted to play it again and again

Fun game with lots of different learning skills.
Firstly, I must comment on the durability and top quality of all components in this game. This is one to really last throughout childhood and then be passed on. My son has Down Syndrome and I was sent this to play and review. Although my son is 12 years old, he really enjoyed this game over and over. In fact when he doesn't want to sit and do his homework, playing this after will bribe him to finish quicker. Game is bright and colorful, pieces are easy to manipulate, especially the big plastic Frankie that one picks up the food pieces with. Very good for eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. I like the fact that the food pieces are actually double sided, so wherever at the table you sit, you can see what the pieces are, unlike some other games which are just one sided. Matching assorted foods to shapes is a novel way of looking at food. I would never have actually thought of it myself! My son actually forgot what a rectangle was and we had to go over all the shapes with him again, which was just as well we had this game! One can have lots of chit chat while playing this game, all to do with the different components of it. Shapes, colors, sizes, which of the same shaped foods one prefers and why, what is a menu and what is it made up of? Feelings: what does one feel when one loses a piece, when one wins a piece etc. One can learn strategies from this game. Look at the other players' cards, which pieces do they have and which should one choose when one lands on the part that gives you the choice of shapes to choose from? Which piece should one steal from your friend when landing on that part of the spinner etc. But then again, that part is probably for children who are just a bit older. This game needs no reading skills, once younger children master the machinations of it, they can play it all on their own and feel really independant and grown up!

We LOVED this game!
My 4 year old and I could not wait to play this game! The game arrived with all of the game pieces easily separated and fully put together so no assembly was required. The directions were easy to follow and didn't take long to learn, especially if you're familiar with other games by this company, as this one works in a very similar way. The most important information that I needed was what the "special" spaces on the spinner meant. I actually found that for my younger child it was actually better to ignore those spaces and to have my child spin again. This makes this game very versatile for kids of all ages. This game is great for learning shapes, improving fine motor skills, and practicing turn taking. The overall product design is engaging and my child really liked the cat tweezers, although she did need help manipulating them a few times, great fine motor skill practice.

Colorful, fun, and quality construction
My 3.5 and 5.5 year olds played this game happily. Its colorful, solid construction will no doubt hold up to the tons of not-so-gentle play. The concept of finding matching shapes mixes in fun food choices, making learning fun. The added element of a pincher to pick up the pieces would be great for fine motor skills, but my kids gave up on it quickly and just used their hands. All in all, a fun game for all ages really.

fun and educational
My 6 and 4 year old really enjoyed this game. While it was a good shape recognition for my 4 year old, my 6 year old had a blast with the game itself, being able to steal items from another player and anticipating who was going to win. It lost one star due to the lack of instruction when a player has a shape that's already on their plate and the spinner lands on the same shape. We just made up our own rules for that but wish there was something already established. Also, the cat grabber was fun for the first round, but it quickly became clear that it was just easier to pick up the pieces with our hands and not bother with the tool. overall, my kids thought it was a really fun game!

Great for 3-5 year olds
My 3.5 and 5 year old enjoyed playing this game. They enjoyed thinking of some of their favorite foods in terms of shapes. My 3 year old caught on pretty quickly understanding that there was a max per category and she only could fill one spot per category. She did have some trouble at first using the cat but quickly adjusted and was able to use it fine for the most part. The directions are clear and the kids enjoyed playing game after game. I enjoyed seeing how it reinforced the concepts I am working on with my 3 year old with organizing, shape recognition and grouping. Though my 5 year old knew all the shapes, groups etc he enjoyed the look of the game and the character given to the cat.

A definite family game night hit!!
Frankie's Food Truck Fiasco Game is a wonderful addition to our family game collection. We are definitely a "game" family and we are fairly picky about them. This game teaches shapes and age appropriate social skills (such as taking turns, losing turns, "stealing" food from another player, and having a greedy guest steal your food). The game comes with cute little Frankie as your tongs to pick the matching shape food for your meal, ie triangles may be a piece of pizza, circles may be a slice of tomato. The game is over once you have collected your five course meal. This is a fun, quick game our 5 year old loves. He also enjoys playing it on his own to see how fast he can "fill" his plate!

Loved this game for shapes, language and even fine motor
I have seen the squirrel game at stores and found this one for shapes. My 4 1/2 year old and I loved playing with it. What I like as a mom, was that the game pieces already had the bases inserted. nothing worse than your child ready to play a game and it takes 10 minutes to assemble. As a therapists, I liked the language around the food pieces and my daughter enjoyed taking one of my pieces or seeing a "bug" in my food and I had to put one back. It's also a great fine-motor activity, as the cat requires child to pinch like tongs to pick up the cards. very fun, will check out the others like this in the series for sure!!

Highly Recommended! Great board game for little kids!!
This is a really fun game for little kids. Our 4-year old twins just love it and we have been playing it at least once a day since we got it last week. It educational, entertaining, and very engaging. Our kids are learning about shapes since they have to match the different foods to the spin wheel. We also have the Sneaky-Snacky-Squirrel game which our kids love. If you are not a big fan of electronic devices, I would highly recommend getting this game as you can entertain and educate your kids at the same time.

A fun, cute way to learn shapes!
My 5.5 year old daughter and 3.5 year old son immediately took interest in this game. There was instant familiarity in the design of this game to the Sneaky Snacky Squirrel game we've played countless times, but what really got them excited were the game piece options - yummy treats! The game pieces are nicely designed and is easy to play and follow. Finding and matching the shapes with the food options is a good way to learn/reinforce their knowledge of shapes. My daughter particularly couldn't wait for her turn to get the food item she was eyeing. Love this product!
