Description

A nail strengthener that works to improve thin and brittle nails. This product contains Vitamin E so not only does it help to make your nails grow longer, but this First Aid Kiss will help grow your nails stronger. In addition, ella+mila's 7-free formulation offers a healthier alternative for DIY manis. Once you have completed the 4 week process, continue to use this rehydrating nail strengthener as a base coat underneath nail polish.

Application:
Week 1 – Apply one coat of First Aid Kiss to bare, clean nails on day one. Keep the treatment on your nails and on the seventh day, remove from nails using a non-acetone remover.

Week 2 – On the day you remove your Week 1 treatment (the 7th day), apply one coat of First Aid Kiss to bare, clean nails. Keep the treatment on your nails and after another seven days, remove from nails using a non-acetone remover.

Weeks 3 and 4 – Apply one coat of First Aid Kiss every other day. Apply the first day, keep on second day, and remove on the third day. Reapply on the same third day. Repeat for two weeks.

*Once you have completed the 4 week process, continue to use re-hydrating nail strengthener as a base coat underneath shaded nail enamel, if needed. You may repeat this 4 week process if you feel your nails need additional TLC.

*First Aid Kiss can be used underneath nail polish but please note that since it is not an actual base coat, your manicure just may not last as long.

Q: Would your nails look blue? or does it dry clear.

submitted by Grandma - 5 years ago
  • A: Hello, we have upgraded the tint to be a very natural pink, looks very sheer on the nails.

  • A: It goes on and dries clear.

Q: Can this product be used as a base coat?

submitted by Kitku - 6 years ago
  • A: Hello, yes you can use it as a base coat. We highly recommend you use this strictly as a treatment the first 4 weeks to see the best results. After the 4 weeks you can use it as a base coat.

  • A: After the 4 week care process, use it as a base :)

Q: I love wearing gel as regular nail polish takes too long to dry, chips, and does not have a thick enough coating to stop my nails from breaking easily. Can this product be worn under gel nail polish?

submitted by Skincare lover - 2 months ago
  • A: First Aid Kiss is a nail care that should be worn on bare nails. We don’t recommend using gel nail polish over First Aid Kiss.

Q: Can I use it during pregnancy?

submitted by ZB - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello, Thank you for your message. Our products are used by many during pregnancy, however, we always recommend consulting with your doctor since each body is different. Best of luck.

Q: Question, as a first time user, can I also put a color on top of this once it dries while doing the 4 week treatment?

submitted by tamtams - 3 years ago
  • A: Hi tamtams! Yes, you can absolutely apply color over this. You will still want to follow the cadence of removing and re-applying the Nail Strengthener on the Target.com page, but you can put color over it each time you apply a new coat! Hope this helps!

Q: Is this safe to use for nail biters? I have a sensitive stomach and need to know if it could cause digestive distress if small amounts of dried product are ingested. Thank you

submitted by S - 3 years ago
  • A: Hello, thank you for your question. We recommend you use {no more biting} as this is a deterrent for nail biters. {first aid kiss} is a nail strengthening treatment, it’s one of our best sellers but it will not deter one from biting their nails and it’s not safe for ingestion. Hope this helps. Have a great day.

Q: can you use as a TOP COAT ? i have gel polish on and would like to apply on top !

submitted by lem611 - 4 years ago
  • A: The First Aid Kiss can be used underneath nail polish or as a top coat but please note that since it is not an actual base coat, your manicure just may not last as long.

Q: If I’m using it as a base do I put your other base coat on top on it and then color?

submitted by kmhbt - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi kmhbt! When using as a base coat you do not need to put another base coat on top of it. However, we highly recommend you use this strictly as a treatment the first 4 weeks to see the best results. After the 4 weeks you can use it as a base coat. Hope this helps!

It's comes over very quickly. The several times I've used this First Aid Kiss, but the next day, I'm wandering what my hands have experienced to appear as thought I never put the two coats on. It's also completely clear as opposed to the pink tint it looks like in advertising. It has not strengthened my nails in any way, shape or form that I can tell. It doesn't even last on my nail long enough to begin with. I actually want a refund to be honest. I had high hopes. No results.ive had this for several months and have used several times, a useless expensive clear polish at best.

I'm an Ella+mila fan I truly love all the colors I'v purchased so far. I have brittle weak nails and I was using a base (damage control). However, I though it was First aid kiss so I purchased it. All of my nails started peel even more. I bought damage control and is definitely helping my nails grow. I'm still buy more ella+mila nail polish.

This definitely made my nails stronger. When clipping my nails before it took very little effort because they felt thinner and softer. Clipping my nails after using this treatment takes more effort. I also haven't noticed my nails peeling at all like they used to. It has a nice shine to it too and it's pretty durable. I wash my hands a lot at work and it holds up well. I suggest getting the soy nail polish remover from this brand too. That way when you take off the treatment you don't dry your nails out with acetone polish remover.

I never leave reviews for things unless they are life changing.. but let me tell you! My nails have always been thin and bendy/brittle. They are also recently destroyed due to acrylics. My nails would peel if I didn't have a base coat on them, and even when I did!I'm on week 2 of this product and I haven't had a problem with peeling yet! I do add an extra layer to a couple problem nails and it works like a charm! I absolutely love this and am so glad I finally found a product that works and is safe!

I've been using this for over a month with the ella + mila polish remover, and my nails still rip, split, & tear whenever free edge gets anywhere close to my fingertip. I have to clip/file them down to the quick just to keep the edge from tearing. This has done nothing to protect or strengthen my nails. In fact, I think OPI Nail Envy helped my nails way more than this. I'm annoyed too that I had to purchase their special polish remover for this.
