Q: How long does it remain effective before you have to reapply and does frequent daily handwashing reduce the effective time before reapplication?

Q: Is this safe? My toddler got sick from a similar product, stopped use but she still bites her nails and puts her hands in her mouth when upset. She rubs her eyes & I saw an eye irritant complaint here

This polish really did help curb my son's nail biting habit, but it doesn't last very long, especially with frequent hand washing. As long as you're good about reapplying, this can certainly help reduce bad habits

I've been using this for about four days now, and I love it! My nails are already noticeably longer. This thing tastes SO bad and chemically that I in no way want to put my nails in my mouth, which not only helps with nail growth but is also more sanitary. I definitely recommend this product for you if you constantly have the urge to bite your nails no matter how hard you try. 15/10

Literally don’t understand the negative reviews on this! It stopped my 2 year old thumb sucking in 2 days! This has been great!!! Dries pretty quick. Taste is very strong which deters him from thumb sucking. I tried it on one of my thumbs and it was nasty and can see why it works! I needed an option as he was starting to get infections in his thumbs from constantly putting them in his mouth! This has been a literal life saver! Thank you for making this product available and making it safe for toddlers!!!

We bought this nail polish because our 2 year old would suck her thumb all day since she was a baby, we tried so many things including the thumb guard but she started sucking her other fingers and her thumb started to deform, we bought this nail polish and she stopped, we kept applying the nail polish every two days and by a week she has completely forgotten about her thumb and we no longer need to apply the nail polish. I’m so thankful for this nail polish now her thumb can heal and her teeth won’t deform as well.

This came half empty with crusty nail polish all around the inside of the cap. It didn’t look like it had leaked in shipping so I’m assuming someone used it and returned it. Website won’t let me return by mail or fix the issue, which kinda stinks. Please Target check your merchandise before shipping!! This is not the first time this has happened with buying nail polish online from Target unfortunately…

this is the longest my nails have been in years!! i deal with a lot of anxiety and have always kept my nails short bc i play lots of instruments. with this it’s completely deterred my perceived need to bite! the only thing is i can’t lick my fingers after i finish food which is the least of my concerns. takes forever to get the taste out of your mouth which i guess is the point haha. i’ve been using for a week, it wears down a lot for me so i just reapplied but thats because i work with my hands a lot. great product!! and its vegan!

Super impressed! My 2 year old had a severe nail biting problem. It started small, then escalated very quickly. Her nails were so low they were bleeding, mostly just skin/ nail bed. Her fingertips were even a bit inflamed. 2 weeks later she’s barely biting her nails at all! And, I’m now starting to “wean” off the product, doing less and less applications! Very quick and easy to apply. The taste definitely gets the job done!

This product works for me. The only negative thing I can really say is that you must be aware of the hand to mouth. You cannot lick your fingers to clean them up. It took me hours to get the taste out of my mouth lol. That just means it's doing it's job.

The smell is awful but I used it on my bf so he’ll stop chewing on plastic bottle drink caps and every time he goes in to chew on it the face he makes of pure disgusts lol so it works! This way we don’t need another trip to the dentist !

This treatment definitely helps me to not bite my nails, but the taste is so strong that when I eat with my hands or even touch my mouth at all I get the taste in my mouth. Literally my lips taste like this stuff bc I guess I touch them without realizing, so it's gross.

Used this for a few months on my son, regardless of how long it dries ANYTHING he touches for the next day tastes horrible. I kissed his face and my mouth tastes horrible and cannot wash it out. He touches his baby sisters hands and they tasted horrible when she touched my mouth while I was nursing her. It works well for him not biting but nobody else wants that in our house

The taste will definitely deter you from biting at your nails and cuticles. I’ve slipped up just once and the taste is seared in my kind where I will not bite (hopefully) again. I will come back with an update on growth!
