Ello Hydra 64oz Half Gallon Plastic Jug with Straw

Purchased 2 of these & thought was a great find. Excellent size & 2 secure handles to carry. Cleaning was easy. I use one for filtered water & one for flavor packets. Cleaning round ring seal is easy too. Then I discovered the rubber spout is removable for cleaning- blackish stain on both esp at seams & unable to clean it off. I soaked, scrubbed with vinegar, baking soda & dawn. Imo not safe & both unusable.

If you don’t close just right, it wont seal. Thought it was me but after a couple of times, I know its faulty.

Holds a great amount of water but the button to release the lid is constantly getting jammed. If is tips over it will leak.

This water bottle leaks when it barely tips over. I hate this water bottle.

The top of this water bottle is not secure. You can easily pull it off. I lifted this water bottle by the top when it was filled with water and it came crashing down.

Very low quality. The lid doesn’t screw on correctly causing it to leak everywhere. Don’t waste your money

Love the design and how much water it holds.

The good: -Size - love having a large water bottle -Straw - very easy to drink out of, better than other water bottles I've had. The straw does not fold down like other water bottles do and that makes it so you can always drink out of it, doesn't have to be at a certain angle. Also appreciate the lid for the straw. -Handles - especially the side handle, this (and the straw) is the main benefit of this water bottle over other similar ones. The side handle makes it easy to hold while drinking out of unlike other large water bottles, and the top handle makes it easy to carry. The bad: -Leaks - despite the claims, this is not a leak proof water bottle. This wouldn't be a big deal if it weren't a large water bottle and could fit in cup holders, but there's no really good way to bring this with you in a car or stroller unless you can somehow prop it up. They have even sent me a replacement lid and it still leaks. -Top handle - poor quality. There is a tiny metal rod holding the plastic in place that easily slides out. The handle should be one piece and not so flimsy, especially since when the bottle is full it has some weight to it. TLDR: I really love this water bottle (straw, 2 handles), but wish it were higher quality (leaks, poor quality top handle).

The handle does not hold a full bottle of liquids…Ello replaced the lid but still the same problem

If I could give this zero starts I would. The handle has little divets on the INSIDE that you cannot get to, that’ll start to collect mold. I washed my bottle routinely and it still collected mold. It’s impossible to properly clean. Yuck. Save your 10 bucks and get something else.

The handle has fallen off after less than a month of use, it leaks if it tips over while closed and the handle gets dirty FAST. The mechanism that opens the lid is constantly jammed and the straw doesn't stay in place at all. Just find something a little pricier with better quality. Also, it starts to smell after a while even if you keep it clean!

This water bottle is awful! The cap comes off when full. Can’t grab it by the cap handle or it slides off and water gets everywhere. I have spilled a half gallon of water on my keyboard, carpet and kitchen. No matter how tight I screw. The cap, it slides off since it can’t hold the weight. Needs at least 4 grooves not 2…

Leaks badly when not upright

This bottle get mold inside the bottom of the handle. I have tried many brushes and none of them reach!

don’t have a single complaint. handle is great, love the times on the side of the bottle, especially because I had been looking for a big water bottle with times written on it and no other cringey phrases like “you can do this” or “chug chug chug” written on the side too 😭. holds a lot of water and straw feature is nice and lid can be locked. i got the blue one and am getting the purple one for my sister!!

Whenever we open the lid to fill it up, it always smell so bad which make the experience worse. Rest all is good. First & formost they should use the good quality plastic which doesn't smell.

Best water bottle I’ve owned! Makes drinking strangely satisfying!!!* Solid construction, doesn’t leak even if it’s upside down in your bag or falls on its side by the bed (slide the lock to prevent the top from popping open). Side grip is easy for female hands, top handle is convenient *The mouthpiece makes it so easy you want to drink more. Never thought I’d be able to drink this much, but after a few days, your body starts to crave it!

I love the size and ease of use. After buying one for myself I got one for both of my parents who love them
