Ello Pop & Fill 18oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle

It’s very cute, and when it works, it works great. However, after one drop, the clasp on the front breaks, and the water is free to pour out into your child’s backpack, which happened to us today. Since August, I’ve bought two of these for my daughter, the second one being after the first broke. Now that the second one is broken, I’m definitely not replacing it this time. :(

Got this bottle for my kindergartener for school. She loved the look of the bottle and the ability for her to easily open the lid to fill up herself at school. Like others have said, this bottle is not leak proof if turned upside down with the flip top open. However, with the flip top is latched, we have not had problems with it leaking. Our flip top did crack after 1.5 months of use (my daughter knocked it over on the sidewalk outside), but after an email to customer service on their Elmo website, they are sending me a replacement lid free of charge. I recommend going this route if your kid broke easily. Will see how long the second one lasts, but was willing to try again since my daughter loves this bottle so much. I appreciated the quick response from the Ello customer service team!

I love the design of the bottle but the lid broke weeks into using it!

I really wanted to love this bottle. Especially because we have other Ello bottles that we use daily. This one was going to be perfect for our preschooler to open and fill herself. However, it leaked all over her backpack the first day. When I went to troubleshoot, sure enough- cap closed and turned upside down it leaks a steady stream. If we hadn’t already used it, I would have returned it. Instead it was $24 straight to the garbage.

I bought two for my children and they are constantly leaking. I do not recommend.

This water bottle got dropped and the top broke. It was then unable to close and useless. We bought another one and the same thing happened within a week.

It leaks everywhere! Very disappointed!

It’s easy to take apart to clean thoroughly, and also easy to put back together. My five year old son uses it for soccer, so it gets tossed around a lot and is out in the heat for a couple of hours at a time. It’s very durable and we haven’t had any issues with leaks. The temperature retention of this bottle is also great. I add two ice cubes and fill it in the morning, and it still has ice after we get home from his game in the evening. I definitely recommend this bottle.

This cup is cute and easy for a toddler to use but it does leak a lot.

This bottle leaks everywhere! Do not buy for little ones! Or those who are prone to accidentally dropping stuff. Once the bottle is turned on it's top everything will leak out.

My daughter used it during our cruise vacation and it came handy when she needed it the most. It hold her drinks nice and cold. She said she will be using it in school from now on. This bottle is actually one of the best bottles we've had, and we've gone through a few! I normally don't like the metal bottles because of noise and dent-ability issues since we are a clumsy household, but the kid has taken to using a bottle sling bag anyway so we're good there. Anyhoo, this bottle kept water cold all day, even sitting in the car for a few hours on a 90+ day! I love the “pop” top, it makes it so you can easily add ice, quickly refill it, and cleaning is a breeze. I don't like bottles with straws because of extra cleaning steps and durability issues, but this bottle works fine without it which is great. The color/design is awesome, the sparkles really catch the sun, so my daughter loves it. Ello is a brand we trust and they did not disappoint with this product, we definitely recommend it!

I purchased this cup and within a week the clear plastic lid broke which makes this cup no longer spill-proof. I went online and purchased a new lid from the company and the same thing happened the second time I used this cup. This never happened with my other cups from Owala… so I won’t be purchasing again. I really liked the design and colors but the top piece is so cheap and breaks very easily.

Wish I had read the reviews before buying. It leaks so bad! My poor kindergartner has come home soaked twice. First time I thought it was because I forgot the straw but it just leaks horrible when turned upside down or on its side. Even with the lid on.
