Bought this for my little sister. The design itself is cute but the bottle will leak if you don’t keep it upright. Very disappointed as my sister was excited to use this at school. It also leaked on the side of her backpack.

MOLD GREW QUICKLY
I purchased this two times and BOTH times mold grew on the mouth part. The first time, we left it in the car over the weekend and threw it out when I saw the mold growing. Second time it got left at school over a 4 day weekend and there was mold on it. TERRIBLE. We wash the bottles regularly as well!

Looks fine but poor quality
Worst water bottle. It’s broke , within 4 months. Waste of money. Don’t buy this. Wish I could have read the reviews before buying the bottle. I wish I could get my money back.

No sooner did the company send a replacement that the lid broke again. 4 LIDS IN 4 MONTHS is insane in this economy. My kids each have a thermos funtainer that’s five years old and is in great shape. I will NEVER EVER EVER buy another Ello product again. They’re more than aware there is a quality issue with this item and yet, this bottle is still for sale. It’s actually criminal at this point. Save your money - buy a thermos or an Owala.

Would be great if lid didnt break
Would be a great water bottle if the lid didn’t break easily. Just purchased a second on to replace the first and broke within weeks. On the website the lids are all sold out, so this seems to be a common issue with this product. Moving onto a different brand.

Leaky and Broken
The seals got unseated pretty easily when washing, so it leaks often. Then one day when we went to close the lid the plastic just cracked and broke off, less than 3 months after buying. This is a pretty junky bottle, considering the price.

Breaks VERY easily
It’s very cute, and when it works, it works great. However, after one drop, the clasp on the front breaks, and the water is free to pour out into your child’s backpack, which happened to us today. Since August, I’ve bought two of these for my daughter, the second one being after the first broke. Now that the second one is broken, I’m definitely not replacing it this time. :(

Got this bottle for my kindergartener for school. She loved the look of the bottle and the ability for her to easily open the lid to fill up herself at school. Like others have said, this bottle is not leak proof if turned upside down with the flip top open. However, with the flip top is latched, we have not had problems with it leaking. Our flip top did crack after 1.5 months of use (my daughter knocked it over on the sidewalk outside), but after an email to customer service on their Elmo website, they are sending me a replacement lid free of charge. I recommend going this route if your kid broke easily. Will see how long the second one lasts, but was willing to try again since my daughter loves this bottle so much. I appreciated the quick response from the Ello customer service team!

Leaks terribly
I really wanted to love this bottle. Especially because we have other Ello bottles that we use daily. This one was going to be perfect for our preschooler to open and fill herself. However, it leaked all over her backpack the first day. When I went to troubleshoot, sure enough- cap closed and turned upside down it leaks a steady stream. If we hadn’t already used it, I would have returned it. Instead it was $24 straight to the garbage.
