Ello Pop & Fill 18oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle

It’s very cute, and when it works, it works great. However, after one drop, the clasp on the front breaks, and the water is free to pour out into your child’s backpack, which happened to us today. Since August, I’ve bought two of these for my daughter, the second one being after the first broke. Now that the second one is broken, I’m definitely not replacing it this time. :(

Got this bottle for my kindergartener for school. She loved the look of the bottle and the ability for her to easily open the lid to fill up herself at school. Like others have said, this bottle is not leak proof if turned upside down with the flip top open. However, with the flip top is latched, we have not had problems with it leaking. Our flip top did crack after 1.5 months of use (my daughter knocked it over on the sidewalk outside), but after an email to customer service on their Elmo website, they are sending me a replacement lid free of charge. I recommend going this route if your kid broke easily. Will see how long the second one lasts, but was willing to try again since my daughter loves this bottle so much. I appreciated the quick response from the Ello customer service team!

I love the design of the bottle but the lid broke weeks into using it!

I really wanted to love this bottle. Especially because we have other Ello bottles that we use daily. This one was going to be perfect for our preschooler to open and fill herself. However, it leaked all over her backpack the first day. When I went to troubleshoot, sure enough- cap closed and turned upside down it leaks a steady stream. If we hadn’t already used it, I would have returned it. Instead it was $24 straight to the garbage.

I bought two for my children and they are constantly leaking. I do not recommend.

This water bottle got dropped and the top broke. It was then unable to close and useless. We bought another one and the same thing happened within a week.

This cup is cute and easy for a toddler to use but it does leak a lot.

This bottle leaks everywhere! Do not buy for little ones! Or those who are prone to accidentally dropping stuff. Once the bottle is turned on it's top everything will leak out.

I purchased this cup and within a week the clear plastic lid broke which makes this cup no longer spill-proof. I went online and purchased a new lid from the company and the same thing happened the second time I used this cup. This never happened with my other cups from Owala… so I won’t be purchasing again. I really liked the design and colors but the top piece is so cheap and breaks very easily.

Wish I had read the reviews before buying. It leaks so bad! My poor kindergartner has come home soaked twice. First time I thought it was because I forgot the straw but it just leaks horrible when turned upside down or on its side. Even with the lid on.

I loved the design when I purchased. I liked that they were easy to open and refill, however the seals do not fit right and it leaks if tipped over. It doesn't just leak a little bit.. it pours out of the cracks of the lids. I had such high hopes for these but my kids can't even use them because they leak in their backpacks.

Leaks often!!! I refill it for my kid every day but it still leaks all the time.

This has a product defect — you have to ensure the rubber seal for the flip top which is for the easy refill is put in securely. It easily slips and has leaked several times.

I bought my kids these for school. By week 3 the plastic ring inside the lid started to fall out. I would reattach it but it wouldn’t sealed as tight. Which then caused the water bottle to always leak if it wasn’t straight up. I do not recommend these for elementary school kids. Trashed these and now to another different water bottle

My daughter LOVES her new Ello water bottle since the pink with strawberry pattern is cute and it’s easy to use. It is now her top choice for bringing to school. I like the Quick Fill lid since I can fill it without unscrewing the lid and the opening is big enough for ice and filling with the fridge dispenser. I also like leaving the fill lid open while storing in the cabinet so it can dry fully while leaving the lid screwed on the bottle. The lock on the side is great for backpacks since it prevents the button and the fill lid from opening accidentally.
