I purchased it in February as a gift. Two months later, the latch is broken to close the top. It will spill without closing the top. What a shame, we liked it because the price was good and the fill/chug feature was very convenient. I would purchase it again if the color was still in stock.

NOT leak proof. If the silicon ring is even slightly out of place it leaks water everywhere. I have to do an upside down shake test before each time I put it in my bag and sometimes even if I do that it still leaks later. It is extremely impractical to have to do this every single time I use my water bottle. This bad design has even caused damage to my laptop. Such a shame because I was really excited for the pop and fill feature. :/

I like that this bottle has two ways to open and is easy to fill. However, the lock function only keeps the top from flipping open, but does not prevent leaking. I carry it in my bag to work and if it leans over, it leaks all over my bag. Not what I was looking for.

Broke within days
This is my second ello bottle. First one I bought was the kids one, the lid stopped closing and locking after the first fall, which made it unusable. This one I got as a gift, was never dropped, yet the plastic piece that would keep the bottle locked broke off after 5 days of use… which again, made it unusable as it now cannot lock and water gashes out. Very disappointed.

It leaked all over my backpack and destroyed my Macbook. I don't mean a trickle. The entire contents of this water bottle poured out into my backpack while I was on my way to the airport. A $10 water bottle cost me $1000+ for a new laptop.

Top Leaks and gets moldy
I really regret this impulse purchase. I liked the covered spout and the handle and the larger size, but the bottle has leaked in my bag even when it is locked if the silicone ring around the inner part of the top is not quite aligned perfectly. Both silicone rings and the spout are mold breeding grounds. The bottle also doesn't fit in any car cup holder even though it appears pretty slim.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd like to start by clarifying that this is not my first Ello product. I have another Ello water bottle, and I have their glass food storage containers. While both are great, nothing compares to the pop and fill water bottle. The issue with other bottles is that my executive functioning faltered when I had to refill my water bottle, and I couldn't bring myself to take all the steps of unscrewing a top, finding a place to set it down, filling, making sure the top didn't get gross, then screwing it back on. With the pop and fill, I'm able to not think about that at all. It's all the convenience of taking the cap off but with a straw. It's amazing and so this most recent purchase was my fourth in this color. I've gotten several of my friends to use this kind too and they all are loving it. I definitely would recommend!

Leaks even when locked – disappointing
I really wanted to like this bottle, but unfortunately it leaks even when the lid is fully closed and the lock switch is engaged. I’ve double-checked that everything is sealed properly, and it still leaks when tipped or in my bag, which defeats the purpose of having a lock feature. It’s frustrating and makes it unreliable for everyday use, especially on the go. I like the design, but the leaking issue is a dealbreaker for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There’s nothing like a pretty new water bottle. This was my first Elmo purchase & I purchased two pretty Spring colors. I love both of them. I especially like how I can lower the straw, because I can shake my bottle if I put powder in it. They keep water and ice cold enough, I wouldn’t say all day, but at least 8 hours. I am pleased with them both.

lid broke in less than 2 months
The water bottle design is really cool (love not having to remove the lid to refill it) and it keeps drinks cold. But the plastic lid broke in about a month. I got a replacement and the second one also lasted less than two months. I'd expect a water bottle that costs $30 to last way longer than that. The transparent plastic lid part needs to be replaced by a different, more durable material and/or a new design.
