Save your money
Not recommended! Paint chips off, presumably into your beverage, from the inside. There are countless reports of this. Customer service is terrible and almost non-existent. A waste of $100+.

Slimy residue on coffee and cup
I like the mug but it has one drawback. I nurse my coffee in the morning and if you use half and half, the mug seems to “cook” the half and half leaving a brownish slimy residue on the coffee which transfers to the side of the mug interior. Wouldn’t have wasted the money if I knew this.

Design Flaw
This is great when it works. The charging pad is a bad design. The little spring loaded pins break or stick which then prohibits the mug from charging. It is a manufacturing problem, but they don’t care as long as it works until the warranty is up.

Just what I needed
Great cup for keeping my coffee hot. In your average mug, my coffee would get cold and I was reheating it on most days. I am delighted in coming back to a hot cup of coffee after getting breakfast started.

Durability Concerns with Heated Mug Coating
I've been using this heated mug for just over seven months, and unfortunately, the coating at the bottom has begun to flake off. I’ve only cleaned it with mild dish soap and a paper towel, so I’m surprised to see this kind of wear. It’s disappointing, especially given the product’s price and intended durability. I also hope the materials used in the coating are safe and non-toxic.

Lifesaver
I had one years ago and burned it out, it worked great, it was so nice to have a hot cup of coffee consistently. Flash forward to a few months ago and we were prepping for trial. I was panicking because I wouldn't have my coffee. I purchased a new mug and it was an absolute lifesaver!

Never reconneted
After constantly disconnecting from my phone, I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I ensured Bluetooth was functioning properly on my phone; however, I could never get the mug to connect. The lights on the mug flashed white-green-red ... nowhere on the website is this issue accounted for and I never got the mug to connect. Very frustrating and will never buy it again.

Cold and "empty"
It works occasionally. I have to fiddle with it endlessly to get it to start warming. Then it will shut off and say the cup is empty when it's completely full. And forget about trying to heat up half a glass, that will register empty every time and there is nothing you can do about it.

Won’t connect
It’s great when it works, but now it won’t connect. I’ve done all of the things suggested but still no luck. The cup is only a few years old. For the price of them they should last a lot longer. It sits on the charger every night.

I Love the Ember mug, I've had mine for 5 Years and it's wonderful!!!......But i have a feature request! I would love a default setting with the Health X Ember setting, so I dont have to open the app for every cup of coffee to registrere the caffeine intake, thats so annoying!

Its Trash
I received the Ember as a birthday present in late September, and it’s now 10/29 — I’ve barely had it a month, and it’s already broken. I followed all the instructions carefully: hand washing only, keeping the coils dry, etc. Despite that, it won’t heat up or sense any liquid in my cup. I really wanted to love this, especially as a newly postpartum parent who relies on coffee, but every day I end up transferring my drink to a microwave-safe mug. Don’t waste your money — this is an overhyped luxury product that’s more trouble than it’s worth. Nothing will ever beat just a classic mug.
