In order to change the default temperature to your preferred temperature, you will need to pair with the app. That said, once the temperature is set, your Ember Mug will remember your new perfect temperature and there is no need to take out your phone or use the app when you want to enjoy your hot coffee.

    Wanted to love

    I wanted to love this mug but I've had so many issues with it and customer service is awful. I kept thinking with software updates it would get better but I'm 6 months in and it's still awful. - Mug constantly drops Bluetooth connection - resulting in the need to do a factory reset on the mug (which is hard if it's full of liquid) - then set up needs to be recompleted - Faulty temperature sensor? - my thinks it's at set temp but a light swirl of the mug and it finally drops to the actual temp of the liquid which is usually 10-15 degrees lower than desired. - For a mug this expensive, you should not have to fuss with it MULTIPLE times a day for it to do its job. And customer service should be actually helpful versus the "an app update may fix things"

    Wanted to love this so much

    I’m an avid tea drinker, all day every day so I was stoked to find a great price on this item. I’ve tried to use it for 3 days now and it will not hold a charge. By the time it warms up one cup of tea it needs to go back on the charger. Super disappointed. The handle isn’t the most comfortable of mug handles either. IYKYK
