    Decent stroller

Have so far taken this stroller on one 5 day trip. It does the job but we aren’t super keen on it. The wheel locking system often only unlocks one wheel. The rear wheels don’t look true and don’t spin straight. Our 5 month old doesn’t seem to sit comfortably in it. Where the back of the stroller bends at the butt seems to be in a very awkward position. They market this as 1 hand open and close. . lol. Ours feels very stiff and requires two hands to press both buttons. I’m not sure if ours came broken, but it takes a decent amount of force to fully open it. It’s not smooth. If not for the fact that we’d have to pay for shipping and the stroller still has to be in like new condition, we would have returned it as soon as we got home from our trip.

Metro 3 Compact Stroller NEW 2025

This is exactly what I was hoping for. The functions and overall quality of the product are truly impressive. It feels sturdy yet lightweight, very easy to maneuver, and comfortable for my baby. The design is practical for both everyday use and traveling, which makes a big difference for us. I would definitely choose this stroller again and highly recommend it to other parents who are looking for something reliable and convenient.

    Great Stroller

We got this to use when we go to crowded places or when we need a smaller stroller option. I love the deep recline and the quick fold. I wish it came with the bumper bar, but overall a great value!

    Great Compact stroller

Great compact stroller! We purchased to fit in the back of our car and recently used it on the first flight. Has been great for our 2 mo old and will adapt as he grows. Definitely best used on pavement as the name Metro would suggest does not hold up on off roading trails very well.

    Pros/cons

First the pros; it is nice and tall for both me and my partner to use comfortably, and the adjustable handle bar is nice. The straps are nice and padded so doesn’t dig into my toddlers shoulders when they try to make a break for it. Unfortunately there were a lot of things that don’t work for us. The back wheels are not spaced enough apart to create good stability for when the occupant wants to look out the side. The wheels also don’t create a bough cushion when walking on a sidewalk. It’s too bumpy and I get alot of looks like I’m pushing them over every pothole in a Boston neighborhood. We got the snack tray for it also and it makes it a lot less compatible, but you just have to take it off and on. Wish some short of bar came with it instead of having to buy all the parts needed to make the stroller functional be for a 1. 5 year old. In the end I would not have picked this stroller due to instability of wheels, lack of smooth strolling, and lack of needed parts to contain a normal toddler.

    This stroller is amazing!

I spent over two months researching travel strollers. I wanted something lightweight, easy to fold and carry, sturdy enough to handle old cobblestone streets, a good recline for naps, a dark and large sunshade, good ventilation, washable seat, basket large enough for the diaper bag, an upright and tall seat position, a sunshade that didn’t touch my hands when it was up and something that would last from newborn to toddler. Definitely not a short list! This is the only stroller I found that checked all the boxes without compromise and was at an amazing price point, especially for the quality. Initially, I was annoyed I had to buy the accessories we needed separately, but my husband reminded me how great it is to only get them if you need them and not be so wasteful.

    Smooth ride and I like

Smooth ride and I like how easy it is to fold. However after just 3 casual uses the brake peg for one of the back wheels isn’t functioning properly…disappointing given how much I paid for it

new review after more time with the stroller

I have a review further down on the page where i love love love the item from february. now that ive had time to use it more, i agree with some of the other reviews. it isn’t one handed at all it isn’t super easy to open up as the points that click in place don’t do so smoothly all the time. also the back wheel gets stuck in lock multiple times now. this is my only stroller and i love for every day use and my daughter is very comfortable in it. i love the ease of it when it’s working and how smooth the ride is for her but the wheel getting stuck is very inconvenient especially when she’s in it. i have to remove her to flip it or close it to unlock. i do think the price point is a little high for what you get and can’t speak to traveling with it but had i known about the wheel issue i definitely would’ve rated it less from the beginning.

    Great stroller

I did a lot of research to find a stroller with a longer backrest since my baby is 20 pounds and 27 inches tall at just 5 months old. I chose the Ergobaby Metro 3 and love it so far! It’s easy to fold and unfold, has great quality, and is tall enough for me (I’m 6’1”).

    I really loved this stroller

I really loved this stroller at first. It is super nice quality, comparable to my other more expensive strollers. Feels sturdy and drives nicely over bumpy terrain/cobblestone. My husband and I are both tall and the height of the handle is great. I love that the stroller sits upright when folded. The basket is a little difficult to get my diaper bag in and out of but a large diaper bag can still fit under with a little maneuvering. My main issue is the seat back. Now that my Son is bigger, he likes to lean forward and look around. The seatback flops forward with him every time, putting him into a weird angled position. I fear the bigger and stronger he gets this could cause his weight to pull the whole stroller to fall forward. The Ergobaby team told me that this is normal and that the seat lock only prevents backwards movement. Like I expressed, the amount of movement seems unsafe and not secure. This has made me less than satisfied with this product. I was bummed because i really wanted to love this stroller and did until this issue!

    Love this stroller for travel

We took this stroller on vacation with us and it was great, easy to maneuver. Loved that it worked with my Nuna car seat. My only comment is that the fold and unfold is not as smooth as I would like it to be. A lot of the time I have to use two hands to make sure it has fully clicked into place when unfolding and when folding need to press it with both hands to make sure it’s fully folded.

    Its ok

I paid so much for this stroller & really wanted to love it & every aspect of it but I just cant. Pros- Smooth ride & comfortable push - Adjustable handlebar - Tall backrest - Large canopy - Lightweight & easily transported - Nice seat cushion/padding Cons- the wheel gets stuck in lock position. This happened to me while on vacation & I had no idea how to fix it. My husband ended up flipping it upside down & figuring out what happened. It then happened 2x more. I bought this less than a month ago. - the recline & incline is hard to adjust. So the recline is fine. When Im trying to get the backrest upright the strap gets stuck sometimes and it takes some real strength to get it back into position. - It didnt fit in the Jetblue overhead bin. Luckily I bought the travel bag just incase that happened. - There’s a bar at the back of the storage compartment that prevents you from placing any bag of decent size from the back. I use a small backpack for my toddler & I have to raise the footrest & place/take out the bag from the front. Which is just a PITA sometimes. - Its definitely not easy open/close. Cannot do it with one hand & sorry but it sounds like its breaking every time Im opening it with all those cracking sounds. - Left side buckle keeps coming apart (shoulder & lap belt pieces) but literally only the left side.

    Noisy

Overall, the stroller is great, but it makes a lot of noise when you walk with it outside - as if all its parts are shaking - and it's really annoying.

    It would use an infant

It would use an infant insert like the uppa one. Also could use a shoulder strap. Maybe the wheels would be 360 like a suitcase.

Its a great stroller with one huge drawback

The quality and look of this stroller is unmatched. It has I believe the highest amount of cushion on the seat amongst travel strollers and it was easy to manuever over different surface areas during our trip to Alaska. The fold on this stroller is very user friendly and it fit in the overhead bin in both the flights. The biggest drawback is the unfold! Even with both hands we found it very difficult to unfold. If they had spend more time to fix that this could have been the perfect stroller. Since everything else was great we decided to keep it.

I love how soft the seat is. It’s easy to fold, but it’s not as easy unfolding. . I wish it was easier and I wish the belt buckle was easier. But I do like it more than the butterfly stroller

Good but not one hand use

I was expecting it to close and open one handed. It doesn’t do either really well. That and travel was the main reason why I purchased it.

    Not worth the price

The price does not fit the quality of the stroller. There are features missing and the sides don’t go high so it feels like a cheaper stroller in that regard

    Overall I like it, but

Overall I like it, but it does seem big. It’s larger than a carry on so I’m not sure if it will be allowed on board, I’ll take my first trip with it in a few weeks. I’m a bit anxious about it, cause I bought the travel stroller with the will of taking it with me with no need to check it. Let’s see how things are going to work out. Tha stroller is sturdy, the basket is spacious and it’s very easy to manoeuvre.
