new review after more time with the stroller

I have a review further down on the page where i love love love the item from february. now that ive had time to use it more, i agree with some of the other reviews. it isn’t one handed at all it isn’t super easy to open up as the points that click in place don’t do so smoothly all the time. also the back wheel gets stuck in lock multiple times now. this is my only stroller and i love for every day use and my daughter is very comfortable in it. i love the ease of it when it’s working and how smooth the ride is for her but the wheel getting stuck is very inconvenient especially when she’s in it. i have to remove her to flip it or close it to unlock. i do think the price point is a little high for what you get and can’t speak to traveling with it but had i known about the wheel issue i definitely would’ve rated it less from the beginning.

I did a lot of research to find a stroller with a longer backrest since my baby is 20 pounds and 27 inches tall at just 5 months old. I chose the Ergobaby Metro 3 and love it so far! It’s easy to fold and unfold, has great quality, and is tall enough for me (I’m 6’1”).

I really loved this stroller

I really loved this stroller at first. It is super nice quality, comparable to my other more expensive strollers. Feels sturdy and drives nicely over bumpy terrain/cobblestone. My husband and I are both tall and the height of the handle is great. I love that the stroller sits upright when folded. The basket is a little difficult to get my diaper bag in and out of but a large diaper bag can still fit under with a little maneuvering. My main issue is the seat back. Now that my Son is bigger, he likes to lean forward and look around. The seatback flops forward with him every time, putting him into a weird angled position. I fear the bigger and stronger he gets this could cause his weight to pull the whole stroller to fall forward. The Ergobaby team told me that this is normal and that the seat lock only prevents backwards movement. Like I expressed, the amount of movement seems unsafe and not secure. This has made me less than satisfied with this product. I was bummed because i really wanted to love this stroller and did until this issue!

Love this stroller for travel

We took this stroller on vacation with us and it was great, easy to maneuver. Loved that it worked with my Nuna car seat. My only comment is that the fold and unfold is not as smooth as I would like it to be. A lot of the time I have to use two hands to make sure it has fully clicked into place when unfolding and when folding need to press it with both hands to make sure it’s fully folded.

I paid so much for this stroller & really wanted to love it & every aspect of it but I just cant. Pros- Smooth ride & comfortable push - Adjustable handlebar - Tall backrest - Large canopy - Lightweight & easily transported - Nice seat cushion/padding Cons- the wheel gets stuck in lock position. This happened to me while on vacation & I had no idea how to fix it. My husband ended up flipping it upside down & figuring out what happened. It then happened 2x more. I bought this less than a month ago. - the recline & incline is hard to adjust. So the recline is fine. When Im trying to get the backrest upright the strap gets stuck sometimes and it takes some real strength to get it back into position. - It didnt fit in the Jetblue overhead bin. Luckily I bought the travel bag just incase that happened. - There’s a bar at the back of the storage compartment that prevents you from placing any bag of decent size from the back. I use a small backpack for my toddler & I have to raise the footrest & place/take out the bag from the front. Which is just a PITA sometimes. - Its definitely not easy open/close. Cannot do it with one hand & sorry but it sounds like its breaking every time Im opening it with all those cracking sounds. - Left side buckle keeps coming apart (shoulder & lap belt pieces) but literally only the left side.

Overall, the stroller is great, but it makes a lot of noise when you walk with it outside - as if all its parts are shaking - and it's really annoying.

It would use an infant insert like the uppa one. Also could use a shoulder strap. Maybe the wheels would be 360 like a suitcase.

I love this stroller. We have the Metro + but wanted an upgrade for our next trip. This one fits the ticket. The ride feels so smooth. The button collapse also feels really neat.

Its a great stroller with one huge drawback

The quality and look of this stroller is unmatched. It has I believe the highest amount of cushion on the seat amongst travel strollers and it was easy to manuever over different surface areas during our trip to Alaska. The fold on this stroller is very user friendly and it fit in the overhead bin in both the flights. The biggest drawback is the unfold! Even with both hands we found it very difficult to unfold. If they had spend more time to fix that this could have been the perfect stroller. Since everything else was great we decided to keep it.

I love how soft the seat is. It’s easy to fold, but it’s not as easy unfolding. . I wish it was easier and I wish the belt buckle was easier. But I do like it more than the butterfly stroller

The price does not fit the quality of the stroller. There are features missing and the sides don’t go high so it feels like a cheaper stroller in that regard

Overall I like it, but it does seem big. It’s larger than a carry on so I’m not sure if it will be allowed on board, I’ll take my first trip with it in a few weeks. I’m a bit anxious about it, cause I bought the travel stroller with the will of taking it with me with no need to check it. Let’s see how things are going to work out. Tha stroller is sturdy, the basket is spacious and it’s very easy to manoeuvre.

I love this stroller for so many reasons! It pushes like a dream and turns so easily. It even works on grass! It’s definitely a bumpy ride, but my baby doesn’t seem to mind! It’s super easy to close and I LOVE that it lays flat! We actually purchased this to be a travel stroller but it has become our everyday stroller! We tried several of the other most popular brands and returned them all except this one. It would be the perfect stroller if it wasn’t so hard to open and if there was an adapter for a Chicco infant car seat (they used to be compatible, but ergobaby discounted the adapter 😭). The stroller sticks significantly when opening it and I always seem to smack my shins so just be aware that it’s definitely not a one handed fold!

The new Ergobaby Metro 3 stroller has been great for quick trips to the grocery store and for doctor’s appointments. It is my only stroller and I have a 6 week old that has been using the stroller since he was about 3 weeks old. My baby seems to enjoy the ride, he falls asleep in it fairly quickly. So far, my experience with this stroller has been great, but it has its drawbacks. The pros: - has a nice compact fold that doesn’t take up space in my trunk - the nearly flat recline allows him to sleep comfortably - ease of closing the stroller is super convenient - I’m 5’2” and I appreciate the adjustable handlebar a lot - comfortable padded seat - no rethread harness - easy to buckle and unbuckle baby in and out - stroller wheels go over gravel, grass, and dirt pretty easily without getting stuck - I like the feel of the handlebar, it’s designed well for a comfortable grip - the canopy wicks away water and I love how far it extends - the storage basket holds a decent amount of things The cons: - wish it came with the belly bar instead of having to purchase it separately - opening the stroller isn’t the easiest for me (mainly due to my height), I feel like I have to really lift high and yank it hard in order for it to fully click and open into position and the joints where it’s supposed to unfold gets stuck sometimes and I’m afraid I might break it - the stroller is designed to be newborn ready with panels in the leg rest. Which is great when I have the baby in the stroller for a while, but it’s not very practical to keep putting it together and taking it apart when I have to take the stroller in and out of the car for quick trips, errands, and appointments. Keeping the newborn panels together prevents the stroller from folding with ease. You have to undo the buttons, pull the Velcro apart, and put the panels back into the leg rest before closing the stroller which takes some time. Although, I won’t need the newborn panels for much longer as my baby gets older. Overall, the strollers pros out weigh the cons in my personal experience, so I can’t complain. I have yet to experience the stroller more as my baby grows from infant to toddler. I don’t have any other stroller to compare it to, so for it being my only stroller, I love it.

I bought this for my daughter, who used it yesterday for the first time with my grandson. POSITIVES: She loves how light it is and how easy it is to open/close. All the vents are amazing to ensure air flow. POTENTIAL IMPROVEMENTS: Would be great if the handle bar could be moved back and forth so that you can have the baby facing forward or facing you while moving. This is a BIG ISSUE for her as he's still small and should be facing his mommy while in the stroller. This issue may make her return it. I didn't realize that when I ordered it. Also, she wishes the storage bin was larger; makes it difficult to place her baby bag (a back pack) in the bin; she had to carry it the whole time while at the park. She also said that because my grandson is below 20 pounds, it's easy to "pop a wheelie," if you're not careful. Otherwise loves it. I ordered a couple more accessories so am hoping she decides to keep it!

We originally bought this to use as a travel stroller when flying, but it’s quickly become our out and about stroller because it is lightweight and my 5 month old loves it. It’s very sturdy, and we love the gigantic canopy and the ability to lay the seat flat so she can nap. Sometimes the mechanism for dropping the seat can stick, but my kiddo doesn’t seem to care at all. Highly recommend!

The Best and The Worst

As far as folding, carrying and pushing this stroller is amazing. It pushes amazingly even compared to my very expensive stroller. It folds nicely and is the handle is great for carrying. The downfall is it is awful to unfold!! It definitely takes me two hands and a leg to unfold(yes I’m doing it right). The buttons to push are so hard and the long one never engages correctly. If you get past that it’s a great stroller.

It's a nice stroller, but it's not easy to use. It takes two hands to open and collapse down. The buttons stick and the handle is so wide that I can't do both mechanisms with one hand. Materials are nice, it's just not as easy to use as advertised.
