It’s veryyyy sheer on the nail and takes MANY coats to get a desired look. It isn’t my fav for every day wear but I could see it being fun for like a festival look or something.

It’s very smooth to put on, dry very quickly, and ingredients are great. However, it does last for long time on your nails. I would recommend this polish.

I personally like to put it over a nail color as I don’t like the look of it just by itself. It goes nicely over Essies Riviera Rush color, I included a photo of the topper over Limon Cielo and Riviera Rush as well as just the topper plain over my nails. It’s very subtle but it does add a nice touch to my nails, I recommend using two coats to really make your nails shimmer!

It missed the mark on the application, though. It is thick and gloppy. The applicator absorbed too much and it applied like a hot mess. I typically love Essie’s nail polish but I was expecting to give myself an easy and precise manicure, no problem. It just came out too fast and I wasn’t in love with the end results!

Limon Cielo turned out to be a super vibrant, cheerful yellow that just screams summer in the best way. The color is bold and fun without being too in-your-face. Like with Riviera Rush, one coat gives pretty solid coverage, but two coats and a clear top coat give that smooth, glossy, professionally done look. The formula is consistent with what I’ve come to expect from Essie—easy to apply, not streaky, and long-lasting. If you’re looking for a happy, sunny shade to brighten up your nails, Limon Cielo is such a fun pick—even if it was a surprise one ☀️
