I noticed the majority of the positive reviews are from a product promotion. Here’s a review from someone who didn’t get this for free: don’t waste your money, or at least not on the Cosmic Chrome color. It chips within a day, with or without a base/top coat, whether I wear it alone or layer it on top of another color. I an being generous by rating it 2 stars because the effect is actually really pretty and the formula goes on smoothly and streak-free. Other than that, do not ruin a good manicure with this polish that’s more sensitive than an eggshell.

A sheer, shimmer/glitter nail polish is my go-to, and this couldn’t be better. I’ve been searching for a pink glitter polish, but I’ve only seen silver or gold glitters in a sheer pink base. Essie knocked this one out of the park for me. I love the subtle flash of pink. The formula is long-lasting, especially compared to other glitters/shimmers, which can flake off within a few days. It’s a durable, smooth finish. I worried about drying time which was mentioned in some reviews, but I didn’t have any problem. I can’t wait to try more colors!

Not the same Essie i ised to know and love
I feel like Essie has changed something about their polishes. They seem a bit thicker. I feel like the brush drags the color and leaves streaks. They don’t dry as fast and stay tacky for way longer than I have time for. Super disappointing. Essie has been my go to for years.

Love the pink iridescent!
I love the affect that gives my nails on top of a neutral nail polish. I try a few different colors from dark pink to grey and I feel neutral beige or light pink works best for my medium to tan skin tone. Removing takes a while so be patient, it will come off. Pictures shows 1 coat so it’s very light but good enough to see the iridescent affect.

Misleading! This isn’t a color. It’s a topcoat with a small amount of shine. I wanted the chrome/silver that it looks like. Ridiculous waste of money.

Wish it were opaque
I was hoping that Cosmic Chrome would be a more opaque silver, but it is so transparent that it took 4 coats to even start to hide the details of my nails. I will use this with a base coat in an opaque color next time. Other than that, its just regular nail polish so it smells like nail polish and removes like nail polish. There is nothing else about this that is noteworthy really. I'm glad it is vegan but it has no effect on the formula.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As you can see from the picture it would be lovely on top of a nice, green or blue nail polish. I think by itself it’s pretty but I personally would wear as a top coat for another color. Very mermaid and summer-y vibes!
