Developed with Pediatric Feeding Specialists, the Evenflo Feeding Balance + Wide Bottle is designed to support healthy bottle feeding without interfering with your breastfeeding journey. The unique, naturally-sloped nipple promotes a healthy wide latch for your baby by providing a proper resting place for their lips, helping to decrease mouth fatigue. The effective 1-piece integrated vent helps prevent colic, gas, and fussiness with no extra parts to clean or lose. The included Slow Flow Nipple has an intentional, slower flow rate and helps prevent chugging, allowing for a calm, gulp-free feeding at baby’s pace. All Evenflo bottles and nipples are 100% free of BPA, polycarbonates, PVC and phthalates, and are also made of FDA-approved food grade material.

Q: Do these work with the Momcozy bottle washer?

A: Hi Bree, for ongoing washing: use warm soapy water (not hot), rinse with cool water, and allow to air dry completely with no parts resting on top of each other. For best results and to avoid damage, clean with the soft-bristled Evenflo bottle brush. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Alternatively, the bottles are dishwasher safe (top rack only). We have not tested our bottles in other brands of products but know that too high of temperature can warp pieces and voids your warranty. Thanks!

Evenflo is pretty much the only bottles our baby will take. We just recently purchased these and the bottle design is new. The measurements are now in white rather than clear marking which is a plus but I think the actual bottle is thinner. We have a bottle warmer and we now have to reduce the ounces by 1 so that it doesn’t overheat the milk

Nipples collapse and bottle leaks
When these bottles work like they are expected too, they are great. Unfortunately they rarely work as expected. If you do not have the collar tightened perfectly, these bottles are the worst. If they are tightened even slightly too much, the nipples collapse and baby cannot get milk. If they are slightly too loose, the entire bottle will leak out over the baby. These are too finicky and we only purchased because our lactation consultant recommended them. Returned them right away because the constant leaking and wasting valuable breast milk as well as upsetting the baby because he couldn’t get milk when the nipple was constantly collapsing was not worth it “potentially” helping his latch. I’m not sure it even could help his latch with how frequently they collapsed.

Hi Mari, one bottle nipple shape will not work best for every baby. It may be that your baby will do better on a different shape, such as the Evenflo Classic. Don't toss out your Balance + bottles, though. After a month or two of using a different shape, it could be that your baby is able to use the Balance +. Thanks!

Not so much the item but target gave me a box that was already ripped open. Makes me hesitant to give them to my baby.

Hi TSPX, sorry to hear the box you received was opened. It is recommended that you wash and sanitize all pieces before first use as bottles do not come ready-to-use or sterile. If the bottles do not have water droplets etc., the box was likely damaged, and they should be fine to use after sterilizing. Nipple shape changes with size
I did A LOT of research before my baby was born knowing I was going to nurse and bottle feed. I wanted the best most comfortable option for us both. The newborn nipple slow flow was great! We had no problems and she was enjoying her bottle. Once she hit 3 months out LC said we should increase the flow on her nipples. We ordered the next size up for the medium flow and the entire shape of the nipple is different. I noticed, but prayed she didn’t. She did. It was a nightmare and now she was refusing the bottle. Why on earth would you change the shape?! Know babies and babies and so finicky!? I truly don’t understand. We needed up going with Lansinoh. So not recommended evenflo for this reason. Who knows you may be able to be persistent, but the shape may also be different on the high flow!

The Evenflo Balance + nipple shapes are identical for each flow rate. The same mold is used to manufacture every nipple. A different process is used to change flow rate. Sadly Evenflo has changed their nipples greatly over the last 3 years and the flow “type” is not clear nor consistent. It took us months to find replacement nipples as we had to guess what number/symbol meant what compared to ones we have for our first baby. Great bottle & nipple shape but a pain to find. Also some nipple openings began cracking making them flow too quickly.

These medium flow nipples are horrible. They leak and collapse. There is a tutorial on the website how to avoid the nipple collapsing that shows they acknowledge the product issues but keep selling them. Do not buy

Healthy latch
I bought these to upgrade from my daughters slow flow nipples and had to order 5 packs and one of the nipples didn’t have holes in it. Other than that they have been great. My daughter isn’t having nearly as many gas pains since we’ve switched to these bottles.

Great glass bottles
Evenflo wide neck balance bottles and spectra wide neck bottles are the only ones my baby would accept after WEEKS of bottle refusal (and we started trying bottles at 3 weeks old). Thankful evenflo makes these bottles in glass as I don’t like heating up plastic. I recommend for breastfed babies! I can see her latch on this bottle is wide like it is when breastfeeding.
