Exederm Flare Control Cream is the only paraben-free hydrocortisone cream available in the US and was the first hydrocortisone product to receive the National Eczema Association's coveted Seal of Acceptance. We believe that eczema, dermatitis and sensitive skin sufferers are different. Eczema sufferers have very sensitive itchy skin and need to avoid even mild irritants whenever possible. That is why Exederm is formulated without many known irritants: no fragrance, no color or dyes, no SLS or SLES, no Propylene Glycol or Cocamidopropyl and most importantly no parabens. Suitable for adults and children over two years of age.

A: Thank you for your question Unfortunately Exederm is not a recognized treatment for folliculitis. It is primarily recommended for the treatment of eczema and dermatitis where it has built a strong reputation based on many treatment successes.

A: Great question, The principal difference is the base cream which the hydrocortizone is formulated with. Exederm uses an ultra sensitive hypoallergenic base cream free from irritants such as parabens, colors, dye and fragrances.

Do not use this unless it is a one time thing. This put me in steroid withdrawal and I have been dealing with it for months. DO NOT USE IT ON YOUR FACE OR NECK! Thought it would be okay since it is more natural but I wish I never used this. I’ve been fighting to repair my skin for so long after only using it for a week or two. If you have severe eczema do not use it especially on your face your skin barrier literally cannot handle it.

I love Exederm for my son, it helps calm and control flare ups better than expensive and hard to get prescriptions we've tried in the past. I love this cream! I have had dermatitis on and off for years. I mostly get it on my chin and around my nose, but it does spread out slightly to the rest of my face at times. It’s been difficult figuring out what products to use and not to use, and what products that help for relief. This cream is a major relief for me in many ways. I have dry acne prone skin, and this product hydrates my face while also not causing additional breakouts. The most important thing this does is relieve the dermatitis on my face, and enables it to heal a lot quicker than before. I will always have this on hand as long as I keep having this rash, I absolutely recommend!

I’m upset I never tried a Hydrocortisone cream before. This was my first one and wow did I get lucky! It worked the first day. So far I’m on the second day and I already know I’m never leaving this cream. I’ve had Perioral Dermatitis for years. Around my mouth, under my eyelids and in between my eyebrows. I’ve always been so insecure about it because I’ve had people noticed it and asked me what’s wrong with my face. It was always worse when getting out the shower, I can even feel it get hot. I just learned to live with it. I even started wearing makeup to cover it. I’ve now gained my confidence back. Thank you soo much Exederm!

I was at my last ditch to find a product that would help me. I'm so allergic to fragrances that anything would make my armpits flare up. It's miserable!! After lots of products my dermatologist tried, only one worked (she gave me samples) but my insurance would not cover it and it would be $2000 for a tube. I found this online and gave it a try. Within 3 days, I'm almost clear. I am so grateful to find it. It works great and I can just get it at the store and not break the bank! Great stuff!!!!

As an OTC eczema cream, this has been a great addition for me. I have mild eczema, and whenver I have flareups, this has helped saved my skin. I've been using this since 2019 and will continue to use it! It has done a better job than other OTC creams I've used, so I highly recommend this!

Buy it!!! I have the pleasure of having dyshidrotic eczema on my fingers and this cream treats and prevents flares in a way that my prescribed steroid cream WISHES it could. I wish it was a little less expensive because I use it often due to my eczema being on my hands and washing them so often but it works so well I will keep buying it.

I had previously been using a prescription cream for my eczema flare and management — but to my horror I ran out! I was desperate for relief from a flare but figured I couldn’t “downgrade” to otc and see any difference. I read reviews here and reluctantly grabbed this off the shelf. These photos have one week difference in them! I noticed an improvement in my symptoms after one application! After a week of twice daily application my original spots are gone. I have rosacea and eczema and I experience extremely painful, burning, angry flares. This cream is so soothing, and it works fast! First pic is my eczema flare about 10 mins ago, second pic is my eczema flare last night. I've been using the exederm for 24 hours in rotation and I'm almost healed. Very impressed with how fast it healed my multiple rashes that I had. I was using Calmoseptine Ointment at first and I do believe that helped as well but then when I started using this lotion the healing process speed up and the lotion brought back hydration in my skin. It’s size of the lotion is on the smaller side and it’s pricey but I’d buy it again if it meant not having to deal with horrible itching
