Q: Why do they use Artificial Flavors and Sucralose in this product for children?

A: Thank you for your question! We are committed to using only ingredients that have been approved by the FDA as safe to use, and because of that, our chocolate milk contains sucralose. We tested a number of different sweeteners when we were developing our chocolate, and ultimately went with the combination that consumers loved the most. Our chocolate milk is a sweet treat, and we have made it taste as delicious as possible! Regarding artificial flavors, whether a flavor is from a natural source or is man-made has no bearing on its safety. Again, we are committed to using only ingredients that have been approved by the FDA as safe to use.

After purchasing this, I did not realize it has Carrageenan, Sucralose, Dipotassium Phosphate, and Acesulfame potassium in this. All not good ingredients and can cause harm to the gut. I won't be buying again.

I don’t prefer the taste of it due to the sweeteners, but it is excellent for treating low blood sugar for my type 1 diabetic child. It has equal parts carbs and protein, so it gives her a boost and maintains. She really likes the flavor and has also warmed it for a lower carb “hot chocolate”. Been buying it for 6 years, and will continue to.

I’m trying to up my calcium, protein, and vitamin D because osteoporosis. I’ve tried so many protein shakes, but really don’t like them. This is delicious, much cheaper than protein shakes, and provides the nutrients I’m looking for.

Like, I'm lactose intolerant, so I'd either choose an almond milk based vegan style drink or I'd just get the regular milk and suffer the consequences. However, with this milk, I don't have to sacrifice my stomach for taste and nutrition. It's so yummy it takes like the real, normal deal. The texture is like any regular drink and the flavor is the best chocolate milk I've ever tried.

I should have read the ingredients before purchasing assumed they wouldn’t need to add synthetic sweetener (sucralose aka splenda) since they add real sugar to it. Don’t purchase if you are someone who avoids synthetic sweetener
