First thing I noticed on opening is the strange dust that covers the wooden pieces. Not easy to see, but you can feel it for sure. At least there were no missing pieces. Assmebly was straightforward, but there were two major issues with that: 1. the metal bars on which you are supposed to hang stuff were not straight, making placing the second wooden piece on top difficult, as I had to bend the metal bars into place. 2. the wooden support piece at the bottom had a crack in it, and when tightening the bolt, it cracked more, so I could not get a tight fitting! The whole thing is just terribly designed. The WOOD should be painted, not the metal! When the metal is painted (including the end-cap nuts), paint chips get everywhere when you tighten it all together! And the worst part, it does not stand up straight. I keep asking myself who the heck signed off on this design, did they even try to make something that works?? So glad I used a giftcard on this and did not end up spending my own money. Would make more sense if this was $40 or so... but nearly $100 for this is - and I hate to use this word in reviews - unacceptable.
