Find Your People or Find God?

At first it seemed like things were going good, this book is going to take me somewhere, very few and far between mentions of God, okay. Then page 23, she goes haywire into God, Jesus and being Christian and it doesn’t stop. Flipped forward to chapter 3, there’s more and more. There’s very little mention of this book being that level of religious on the back cover summary. Very disappointing, I won’t be finishing it and I’m hoping I can return it.

I thought it was gonna be a book that support your person and show you the way to reconnect to people but everything it’s base on religion, probably nice for a conservative millennial housewife.

This is THE book to read if you’re searching for intentional relationships. The inspiration, the practical tools, the examples of how to live this out - I’ve never read anything like it. No more lonely pity parties for me! The Lord is using this book to call me out of my comfort zone to seek out and fight for the relationships I so desperately need.

Considering the fact that one of the things I want to focus on this year is finding solid friendships in my current town, I knew I had to pick up this book. Find Your People not only tells some of Jennie Allen's personal story of finding and losing friendships, it gives practical steps to complete to find your people. A book that you can go back to over and over when friendships get hard. I highly recommend.

Never before have I been this excited for a book release. After years of feeling isolated and alone Find Your People was just the catalyst I needed to go out and build my trusted circle of friends. FYP is loaded with spiritual wisdom and practical application. In the book Jennie reminds us that friendships don’t fall from the sky but they are made. Don’t wait for others to come to you, initiate and cultivate friendships. The reward is far greater than any risk!

This book is a guidebook on how to make and keep deep friendships from scratch. I thought I knew how to do this, but our western culture has it all backwards. Super practical ideas and tips for how to find your tribe, be less lonely, and create real and lasting relationships! Highly recommend!

Words can't vividly express the emotions, sensations and fire that permeate into your mind, heart and soul as you saturate in all the richness of every word on each page in this book. It's like a part two of application to Jennie's previous book that helped one navigate through all the mental toxicity in our minds. Through this book she delivers raw and personal awareness to the needs of us to take that leap that God intended for each of us, to seek community and fellowship with others. She helps one navigate through the mental shuffle to align our ultimate purpose here on earth to seek worship and the glory of God in the union of others! No time is more perfect than now for all of us to step up, take courage and proclaim victory while linking hands together! We were made for commUNITY! Thank you so much Jennie for obediently listening to God's words and letting him speak through you to reach so many others! I can't wait to share this with so many family and friends as I myself work to 'Find (My) People. Buy TWO yourself and read with a friend!!!

Find Your People is the book we all need after 2020! Jennie's discussion about community and why we it's necessary hit home for me in so many ways. Not only did it help me re-evaluate how I engage with my current friendships and community but it also gave me practical tips on how to help expand my community into new areas of my life. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to build, strengthen, or renew their current friendships and community.
