We live in the desert where it can get chilly in the evenings. We now have 3 heaters in our collection, all well used.

This is a great heater for our area with mild winters. It will definitely take the chill out of the air. This is the second unit I have bought like this. The first unit lasted 10 years sitting out on our cover patio.
Nice to warm up

Very sturdy, raises ambient temperature about 15 degrees farenheit, wind does not effect and the weight orevents tipping over (unless perhaps there is a hurricane), easy head assembly replacement at a fraction of entire unit cost so will last almost forever
Happy with purchase

My brother in law had one of these on his lake house deck and it was quite nice on a cool afternoon, so we ordered one for our screened porch. Provides heat almost immediately and isn’t too difficult to move. Some of the screw holes were a little challenging to line up during assembly, but all hardware ultimately worked.

Although I don't live where it gets super cold, I do live in Florida where the winter evenings can get down in the 50s. This heater was a breeze to assemble and works great on my out door screened in patio. I also like the fact that this unit a heavy duty and quality built.

Just received this and put it together ( give yourself some time-the instructions are a bit unclear. Also have someone to work with you ). Really nice heat that is NOT propane ( obviously ) so I don't need to worry about tanks etc. I would recommend you make sure the circuit can handle the load. Overall-VERY PLEASED!
A well designed radiant heater that warms your head and upper body well.

Only tried once so far and temperatures were in the 50 F range and it seemed effective. Heat from above made it easy to make sure two or three people sitting beneath it would feel the direct heat. The head appears to be adjustable to make sure the best coverage of radiant heat is accomplished depending on the outdoor seating. The wheels on the base makes it easy to move around. Two people can easily lift it to bring inside tool shed for storage during rainy/snowy weather. Good instructions and easy to install, however there was some difficulty with the last installation step where apparently the inner stiff wire did not move enough to allow the switch to seat into the main shaft fully. After sending photographs of the not fully seated switch, customer service assured that it was safe to use.

I bought this heater …and it works quite well. Simple to put together, however some of the predrilled holes were too small and required some work getting the bolts to screw in. Very nice looking and warm. Perfect for outdoor use.
Assembly is difficult.

Heater is everything I expected. But assembly was very very difficult. The assembly instructions need to be a lot more thorough.

Item arrived with a broken bulb, which was quickly replaced. Assembly was confusing because pictures and instructions were not clear. 2 end plates were removed, but it was not necessary. Once assembled, this unit performs as advertised. The heated area is fairly narrow when you use it in 40 degree weather.

Recently purchased and installed this heater on a semi-outdoor patio in Denver. The patio has a ceiling and 3 walled sides. One side is open to the weather. The heater works fine in taking the chill out of the weather. However, its heat range is limited and you need to sit fairly close to the heater to feel the warmth. It is more convenient and less bulky than a propane heater as it requires no tank. Assembly took longer than expected, approximately 90 minutes, even though I’m mechanically inclined. This was mainly due to the number of parts involved, safeguarding against potential scratches during assembly, and instructions that could have been a bit clearer in certain sections. There was no damage during delivery as the unit is well packaged but I wish they would find an alternative to styrofoam as it creates a mess. I’ve used it for 3 days in Fall weather so far. There have been no issues and overall I’m pleased with the product

We ordered this to extend our outdoor dining time. It's a nice product and does what it needs to, but the assembly instructions were terrible. It helped me to find them online because the pictures online had more definition. I tried to find an assembly video, that would be really helpful. I still would recommend this product, however.
Works fine, but some parts are cheap

I am enjoying the heat now that it is all put together. Three things to take note of: first, the black paint on the bolts are cheap, not powder coated. They came all flaked, and I'll have to give them a blast of rust-oleum. Second, the pictures in the instructions are muddy, so you can't really tell what's what. It would be very nice if parts were clearly labeled as "up" or "front" so that you don't have to use trial and error. Third, the middle hole in the base was drilled about ⅛ inch too narrow for the fitting. Not a problem to take out my drill to fix, but still, this should not have had to be done. Other than that, so far, so good.
This sure beats a propane fired heater.

Bought this about a month ago (actually bought 2) and just love it. Its so easy to turn on - just a simple on/off switch. I say that because I've had years of frustration lighting various models of propane patio heaters - they work fine for first season and subsequently are a real pain in the rear. So having the ability to just flip a switch to get instant heat, sold me on this product. And the heating element is on a telescopic pole and with the wheeled cart its easy to position it where you need it. Only suggestion is that the assembly instructions be reviewed and photos updated - I found it a little tricky to assemble, but did eventually prevail without having to call tech support.
Good if you only need heat for 2 minutes!

We made sure the GFI outlet was rated for 20A, over the minimum of 15A. At first it worked fine. After two months of 2-3 hours of weekly use it started to not feel it was producing consistent heat. Then mid winter Dec/2020-Feb/2021 power problems started. It has always powered on but the length of staying on has ranged from 10 minutes to 30 minutes before it shuts down. From March 2021 to present if the unit can stay on past five minutes that would be short of a miracle. Unit was never moved and it never tipped over.

I recently got my heater due to being around one at our rented Florida condo in January. As soon as I returned I purchased mine for home use. It definitely allows one to sit and read or relax enjoy the fresh air outside in cooler weather.
