As luxurious as a can of fish can be
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a big fan of tinned fish and I am familiar with this brand already but have never tried their smoked trout before. I'm glad I did because this was delicious. It is rich, unctuous with a light smokey, umami flavor. It is a bit dry but that is common with smoked foods. I also thought it was almost too rich straight out of the tin and needed an acid to cut some of that richness. So I served this trout on a sub roll with some red wine vinegar, plenty of the oil from the tin, thinly sliced onion and a smoked hot sauce. It didn't need anything else. It was very good. Highly recommend. I received an incentive to write this review.

Tastes good but the price is nuts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Respectfully, the cost of this can of fish is absolutely bonkers. Sure it’s good, but I’d need probably 10 of these to serve my family a meal, and they’d still be complaining they are hungry afterwards. This tastes like ham and is packaged in a way that reminds me of cat food. That said, the label is cute and I am a sucker for marketing. If this were like half its price it would be worth it and I’d buy again. I received an incentive to write this review.

Tasty smoked trout in a tin!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smoked trout had a great flavor to it! Mixed with pickles it was a really tasty treat. The Packaging is really cute and trendy and the meat is packed in oil. The meat was the texture of tuna but tasted better. It wasn’t as fishy as I expected and it’s a great high protein low carbohydrate choice. If you like smoked salmon you would probably like this too. I’ve only ever tried sardines in a tin so I was pleasantly surprised these came this way. I received an incentive to write this review.

Another Fishwife hit! Delicious and Smokey
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I love all the fishwife products, but this was my first time trying the rainbow trout. High quality big pieces of fish with a perfectly flaky texture — not mushy. Flavor is rich and smoky (like good bacon), mild and not overly “fishy”. Mixed it with some scallion cream cheese for a delightful dip with crackers, but would be great with deviled eggs/egg salad or on a sandwich with lettuce and tomato. Will be adding this to our rotation — another fishwife fave! I received an incentive to write this review.

3 fish loving boys take on trout
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smoked rainbow trout was delicious. My husband was pleasantly surprised how yummy this fish was. He said it would taste good on a bagel with cream cheese. He shared it with my sons 4 years and almost 1 whom devoured the fish along with him. The only downside is that it is not the cheapest tin of fish for the amount given. The fish was very moist and didn’t have a very strong smell which was a plus for me as a bystander. delicious and high quality tinned fish

I couldn’t help but ate the entire tin in one sitting as part of a healthy and protein packed lunch. It has a subtle smoky flavor and a melt in your mouth texture and definitely is not overly dry like many tinned fish products. the packaging is pretty which pulls you in but the flavor and quality will keep me coming back. Great quality fish brand.

This rainbow trout was no different. Although he likes their flavored fish options, this fish still tasted great. The texture had a delightful feeling while chewing. Delicious and excellent source of protein
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was delicious! It is well balanced in taste - a nice smoky flavor and good fish flavor. The color on the trout was a nice pale orange. The filet was boneless. There was one single filet piece in the tin, which held together but could also easily be broken with a fork to enjoy in pieces. We ate it as a fancy hors doeuvres with sea salt and olive oil crackers and it was outstanding! Excellent source of protein and so easy to prepare. I received an incentive to write this review.

Delicious smoked rainbow trout!

Love this smoked rainbow trout! New staple!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start I'll try saying that we are huge consumers of canned fish! We go through lots of boneless skinless sardines, cod livers, and smoke salmon! Especially for my toddler we just love this stuff! That said... THIS WAS AMAZING! Yes, I'm yelling! It was seriously so good. I tasted almost exactly like smoke salmon. I've had fresh rainbow trout and this seems even better. Love! I received an incentive to write this review.

Smokey Rainbow Trout by Fishwife
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the Smoked Rainbow Trout by Fishwifethat comes in a beautiful floral box. I was excited to try this as I love to eat canned tuna. This is very pricey as the can is a single serving but is does have 15 grams of protein which is great. The fish is packaged in a garlic oil so it really does not need to be mixed with mayo or a dressing. The taste is a slightly smokey garlic and the texture is great but for me it tasted very very salty. I received an incentive to write this review.

Smoked rainbow trout with annoying tin tab
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this smoked rainbow trout from fishwife. This is not my first purchase from them. When I went to open the tin, the tab fell of while I was trying to open it. I then proceeded to try to lift it with my fingers, but it would not budge. I ended up sticking my fork in the mostly closed tin to get the fish out. The fish itself is very tasty. The packaging was disappointing, but this is the first time that has happened with the tab. Overall, it’s a delicious premium product which I will continue to indulge in occassionally. I received an incentive to write this review.

Very good, but somewhat expensive for the size.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very unique snack. Does not taste very fishy to me. It actually tastes quite a bit like ham. I enjoyed it straight from the tin, but I could see it being good on crackers or as part of a charcuterie board. I would avoid trying to make something similar to tuna salad with it. It didn't bother me at all, but my wife was not a fan of the smell. The actual amount of fish you get per can is quite small- this is a snack, not an entree. Flaky canned rainbow trout
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Here I am enjoying smoked rainbow trout from fishwife tinned seafood co. This package is almost four ounces and for the price, you can’t beat it! I loved that I could easily open the can and enjoy my treat on a charcuterie board or even just with a wheat chip! It is a bit salty but not garlicky, no aftertaste but it is in oil which I didn’t love. It is quite flaky and tasty. I received an incentive to write this review.

Rainbow trout with fancy packaging

I have to start out by saying the packaging alone was a selling point to me because of the illustrations. The price is right for the size of the container of fish, and for the quality. Great and different rainbow trout
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This farm raised danish rainbow trout was a pleasant surprise of delicious in my mouth. I had not ever had canned rainbow trout before so I tried it like I do fresh tuna - just on a chip. What I found was it was quite delicious but the chip made it really salty so then I switched to a plain cracker and added a little pepper on it and it was much better. It did not have a garlic taste at all to me. Great value for farm raised fish. I received an incentive to write this review.
