Q: How do you turn this lamp on and off first question additionally I would love to know how do you assemble it exactly what are you putting together the lamp shades only? Do you have a diagram that you could post?

A: Hi there, thank you for the questions. For the first one, this design has a foot operated on-off switch that's on the cord, halfway from between the plug and lamp. The shades are securely packed in the box, and to assemble the design all you have to do is unwrap them and put them in place, very easy to do. We apologize, but we do not have a diagram available at this time, but the assembly really doesn't take long at all. Hope all this helps, it is a very pretty lamp!

Beware
I ordered this lamp and it came in bad shape. The entire light fixture wobbled on the base so I request an exchange. The next (same one) lamp came and was even worse. The metal rods were just barely attached to the base and it swayed it barely touched. Sadly I returned the second one as well. Costing that much, you would think the craftsmanship would be way better!

Extremely disappointed, leaves looked grotesque and poorly pieced together.
Sorry, but only 1 star for the picture, when they arrived they looked assemblilined welded together and the leaves were at a weird angle, the boxes were extremely damaged and I was afraid to completely unbox them that they were in multiple pieces. The details lacked in craftmanship and actually to be honest I was extremely disappointed as I had big plans for their display in my home.

Beautiful statement piece
When we took down the Christmas tree the corner looked bare. This lamp is now the highlight of the room. Even when it’s off it’s a lovely sculpture to dress up the living room.

not cheap but looks far more expensive than it is priced. Heirloom quality....will be passed down to my children.
I love my lamp. It is heavy (but I can still move it around to clean). It is a great reading lamp but is a show stopper even when it's not turned on. Get SO many compliments on it.

Definitely not the garden variety floor lamp. We love the artistic appeal, old world craftsmanship. Would be a a perfect 5 if not for the fact that it is short for a floor lamp--perhaps one reason why a reviewer here said the bare bulbs shine in their eyes. Use LED bulbs because you don't want to have to change them---tricky unless you have small hands (and mine are not above average). We elevated our lamp by finding a short burl wood pedestal to stand it on. Perfect solution.
