A: Been using Freshpet for yrs -- it's the only food my dog will eat, & I've had zero issues serving it 10-11days after opening. I just wrap in plastic wrap & keep in fridge. If smells good, it's fine!

You can safely store the recipe in your refrigerator, unopened until that date. Once opened, you need to use the recipe within 7 days. Our recipes are gently cooked and contain fresh meat without preservatives. Keep them refrigerated and treat our recipes the same way you treat your fresh meats. -Vina

A: Been using Freshpet for yrs -- it's the only food my dog will eat, & I've had zero issues serving it after opening & freezing. Just wrap securely & defrost.

Just note that while the texture and moisture levels may change slightly after freezing, the nutritional value of the food will remain the same. For unopened meals, we recommend storing them in the refrigerator and using them by the "sell by" date printed on the package. Bagged meals can also be frozen after opening, and you may notice only a slight change in texture. All of our recipes can be safely frozen for up to 6 months. -Jillian
