Q: My Frigidaire 12 can mini frig is going on two years old. The temperature used to be at 40 degrees which was fine. But now it has jumped up to 50 degrees. Is there a way to add coolant to make it bett
A: Almost every unit I look at in detail and it says this 20° below ambient temp. So we can use the fridge during winter, or in front of the AC vent/unit. This whole thing is stupid! Some kind of swamp cooler refrigerator. Bummer. Good luck
submitted byElizabeth - 2 months agoA: This unit cools by means of a thermo-electric cooling module that has the ability to cool 20F-28F below ambient temperature. There is no thermostat, and the unit is designed to run continuously. There is no refrigerant - the thermo-electric cooling module is electronic. Make certain the cooling fan is free from dust. To have an internal temperature of 40 degrees, the ambient temperature of your room would have to be 65F to 68F.
