Q: Is the handle supposed to easily remove from this pitcher? I have had several Brita pitchers but this is the first one where the handle came off after I washed it.

Q: In the description it reads that the Brita standard filter reduces 99% of lead, but when a question was answered, someone from Brita stated it does not remove lead. Can you please advise which is correct?

Q: Is it open at the spout? It looks like it in the images. It doesn’t seem like it would keep water clean if it’s open in part, but maybe I’m missing something? I don’t refrigerate my water so it would be sitting on the counter.

First, try placing your finger between the reservoir and the pitcher in the spout area to remove it. You may also place your system on the counter, as the tank will expand a little once it's room temperature. Another option is filling the system with water and turning it upside down in your sink. Rounded bottom that is much narrower than the top of the pitcher makes in unstable & tips over much too easily. Have been using Brita pitchers for years and this one is the first one I truly do NOT like. Wish I had not thrown away the old one.

I love the water filters and I have the 10 cup one and there’s no problems. However, with the smaller size it feels more flimsy and I had to return it three times because I noticed cracking issues. Just not worth it.

I also have problems with the reset button. It won’t stop blinking after the first filter change. I like the size and the fact that it does still filter the water. I paid $36.99 1.5 years ago for this pitcher and I see now it’s cheaper. I contacted Brita in case I somehow didn’t know how to push the button. Their solution was to send me a $10 brita coupon (in-store, so I’m assuming I could only use it on their website and probably pay for shipping) and some stickers for my non existent calendar to keep track of changing my filter, rather than the pitcher just actually working like it should. Brita’s poor customer service is no reflection on Target, but Brita’s solution goes to show that they have no faith in their products.

I love the size/color options of this filter and I've been happy with it until recently when the RESET button on top stopped working. It's stuck in the depressed position and now I'm not sure when my filters need replacing. Sad it didn't last many more months.
